I really don't think it works My goal was to find a jar opener that would assist me with opening There is a grapefruit brand called Del Monte How does the lid get attached to the can? Do they use super glue? I can get it to fit around the jar, but given the distance between the handles, it won't be able to torque very far

There are also too many smooth interior surfaces of the device. Even on smaller lids, this product tends to slip. Ideally, the part of the lid that grips the jar should have some type of gripper.

Anyone who spends their time in the kitchen will appreciate this gift
5/5

Jar wrenches have been in my possession for many I got it from a garage sale my sister found for me. My favorite part is when I'm in the middle of Considering she had rheumatoid arthritis, I bought it for my best friend when she was having trouble opening jars. It will no longer be frustrating for her when she's on her own and needs to open something! It can be done by her as well. With the large clamp at the end, it is able to fit larger jars such as pasta jars or jelly jars. There is no better way to store barbecue sauce, steak sauce, or even your soda/pop/coke lid than with the smaller curves on the handles. A kitchen aid like this can be especially helpful for anyone who is having difficulty with dexterity or strength. An appliance that simplifies the task of being in the kitchen doesn't have to be ancient to be appreciated.

The quality of this product is poor
3/5

The same design appeared on another jar wrench I purchased a few Although the wrench has no brand name on it, it is far superior to this Norpro 598 Jar Wrench, which is of very poor quality and likewise, the hinge is not properly secured, resulting in the wrench not lining up properly with the jar. The quality of this jar wrench is good, but I regret not finding one.

It was exactly what I needed! This jar opener was purchased for the purpose of canning, and since the lids of my canned jars always get stuck on my fingers during removal
5/5

In the past, I have tried using utensil handles, etc. , but they weren't very effective. With this opener, all I have to do is place the large section around/under the edge of the lid, and lift up slightly. This lid stays in place perfectly every time without causing any damage. I have saved myself SO much time and trouble by using something so simple!.

Tool for opening and sealing jars
5/5

My husband has one of these since he was a teenager. The tool can be used for opening everything from small bottles of nail polish to large containers. On compacts that are hard to grip, this is a very handy tool. I do prefer my old one without the plastic coating though. As a result of the coating, it slides a bit. It was essential to open most jars without it, regardless of whether I could live without.

Investing in something like this will save your wrists and hands a lot of pain
5/5

Investing in something like this will save your wrists and hands a lot of pain. My hands are in bad shape, even though I am still relatively young at 41. The two wrists on both sides of my body have been sprained several times and I have a hard time doing anything that puts pressure on them. Even scrubbing the counter or a pan or even cutting a steak with a knife requires a bit of concentration I feel extreme pain in my wrists as a result of those motions. have arthritis in my hands, so I've also been concerned about that. The usual tricks I used to employ, like running the lids under hot water or handing jars to my husband, were all irritating. After that, somebody gave me this magical tool, and I'm so glad I found it! It is my go-to item for all jars, and I've given it as a gift to several people I know who have hands that hurt or are limited in their ability to use them.

People with arthritis will find it useful
5/5

As a result of my rheumatoid arthritis doctor's recommendation, I bought this. When I tried to open jars, I had a lot of difficulty. My age doesn't make me less independent, but I do like to be on my own. I was even given a sheet of paper on which she wrote the suggestion that I get a jar wrench. We've been having a lot of fun! It is actually possible for me to open jars I was unable to loosen.

It was just like the one I lost
5/5

If I couldn't find my old trusted item, I assumed it was one of those simple things that doesn't exist anymore. But this is the one! Some of my water bottles had so tight lids that I had to use a pair of pliers to open them. It is a little beauty that is as simple as it can be. Having a large (or small) pair of pliers in the kitchen at all times, ready to use whenever I need them, is enough to keep me from breaking new gadgets. I got my first one when I was 18 and this one when I was The simple fact is that some things.
