You need to watch out for the sharp edges left on the lids when using this product. We have to sand away some burrs so our fingers don't get cut when we remove the lids manually the next time.

It has been over 2 months since I received my 2-piece package of Bellemain jar openers and I haven't yet installed them. As the kitchen cabinets are low, I'd have to stand on my head for a while! As soon as I first felt those sharp teeth, I imagined me reaching up and slicing a finger or two with them or my great-grandmother using the sharp edges to slice me. My grandson will visit me when he comes to visit. This type of opener would, no doubt, leave jagged edges on the metal lid if it were used with this type of opener. I have decided not to use either of them, and since it is too late to return them, I will just chalk up my bad decision to poor judgment.

A simple and straightforward installation and usage process. Obviously I had no way of judging the adhesion since it just had to hold it together until the screws were installed. I thought it was easy enough to install the screws, so I went ahead. There will be no moving of the file. The device works fine. Just place a jar inside and turn it with two As soon as they open, they open wide.

The double-sided adhesive pad and easy-to-install design fit my needs quite well, and I liked that you don't even need to use the included screws for installation. In my case, though, I used both the screw and the pad. My concern is that the device's one edge has very sharp serrated knives that could easily cut your fingers or hand if you are not careful. The device would have worked as well had both edges been some type of medium to hard material. In my opinion, knives edged with hooks are superior, but I guess the designers of this thought they would perform better with knife edges.

Jar openers of this type are the only ones I use nowadays. My family and I recently moved, so I ordered them for our new home. I found it to be the best deal I could find, and the pair came with two, so I kept one and gave one to my daughter. The screws are included, so they screw up easily under the cabinet. Then, when I need to open a jar, all I have to do is stick it in, push, and twist. This opener is so easy to use that I haven't yet had any trouble opening a jar. Since I could only bring a limited amount of stuff with me due to the long move, I could not bring it with me, so it never broke. These should last you quite a while.

Despite being easy to set up, I chose to install Bellemain's Universal Jar Opener under my kitchen cabinet. Use the adhesive tape to position it in the desired location and then screw it in place using the three screws that are included. As part of my Christmas shopping, I bought it for my 90-year-old mom who really can't open anything by herself any longer. Nowadays she can open anything, from small screw cap water bottles all the way up to large bottles. There are two of these and it works! In case you have any trouble opening jar lids or bottle caps, this is the way to go The right way to do it is this.

It's a great item that I have bought multiples of for clients who are experiencing difficulty with their upper body, arms, wrists, or hands. It is a win-win for anyone, regardless of their physical condition and the double-sided tape holds VERY securely, but make sure you are in the correct position before you allow it to touch anything. I'm in love with this device! It works better than any other adaptive device I've tried. Please note The package contains two openers, so this is a great.
