I made a mistake by buying it it does not have cutting plates. One of the cutting plates broke, so I had to buy another one. Also, I have no idea where it is made. Please accept my apology for not being able to- This is helpful.
As far as I remember, it came with two size bases, (poison size), and I am not familiar with other attachments you can use with The one I have is great!
This is the only attachment I have ever ordered since I only use it to make the best mashed potatoes in the world. There does appear to be a variety of attachments included with some food mills. Among the many choices on Amazon, there is a large selection.
The food passes through the top of the mesh part, where the little wire "arm" scrapes the bottom to keep it in place.

This food mill will not be worth your money. There are plenty of cheaply made items on the market that don't work well. Mash potatoes are what I use it for most often. A few things that I dislike about this pan are the handle is difficult to turn, the back-up arm locks up when you back up, and the scraper below the pan does not clear the food well, and sticks when you.
I used it to mash blackberries two times and it worked great both times. A potato masher was all I had to use. The money I spent was wasted and I felt this was really disappointing.
Although I bought it, it's my fault, and I will keep it, I am not pleased by.
Even after washing, gray stuff still came out of the applesauce. I would have received a refund if it had been returned, but I am past the deadline. I will receive a refund.
Personally, I felt the stainless was thin and I thought the blade was too thin when I first saw them. The hooks on it were tippy when I used it, and the edges of bowls and pans were not aligned with the hooks that would have stabilized it. Though I thought I would keep the new one, I am glad I kept the old one, which is much more durable. A simple cleaning procedure is required.
In fact, I couldn't turn the handle at all. During the turn, the car would stop about a half-inch away from its starting position. This mill made a squealing grating noise. In theory, it was more like a saw than a grinder. The food can be removed from the bottom with the wire and feet but it is a waste of money in reality. If I had the option, I would give this 0 stars.
Unfortunately, this product does not perform as advertised. Earlier in the week, I was going to make homemade baby food with it, and I wanted to clean it thoroughly before using it. (I ran it through a dishwasher just in case). That's a very weird and gross thing to do! As a result, I was unable to return it now that I had used it. I literally threw the sweet potatoes and the money into the garbage. I was shocked at how disgusting this item was.
Using the strainer for the first time on June 8th, I strained canned tomatoes but it did not work as smoothly as my previous one (which had served me well the previous 25 years). As I used it again last night, July 10th, the tightening nut that attaches the strainer to the bottom totally came apart. We don't normally use it on a daily basis. Despite that, I do not consider a little over a month to be a long book. There is only one thing I can do with this piece of crap.
