It is my understanding that the food mill is made in Germany by a Chinese company, although I do not have the original packaging. It is my opinion that the quality of the product is due to the German oversight. As far as I am concerned, it's solidly constructed and has proven to be durable.
Raw tomatoes seem to have no problem with it. Although I am not familiar with apples, it should be fine.
While the capacity in the product information is not listed, I estimate that it holds three or three, at most. Each quart contains five litres of liquid. The mill works very fast on tomatoes that have been cooked. I like how easy it is to use and it

I suffered from torture as I searched for a mill to use. Since there were no stores near me that carried them, I tried to purchase something online, and when it's something so expensive with metal quality, I just don't know what to trust. But after browsing through page after page and recommendation after recommendation, I eventually settled on this one. There is nothing wrong with this mill as it is well built and operates fairly well. I think it's a work of art that feels solid enough that cheaply made cannot describe it. There is heft to it, but it is not It took me about 40 minutes to process 9 pounds of Roma tomatoes. I would probably be able to finish that amount in 25 minutes the next time. (I would cut off all the tops, cut them in half, and then process everything. Afterward I would My entire experience was pulp-free - there was never a need to remove anything. My job was only done once I had completed it. I was able to work through it like a pro. The total weight of tomatoes I grew was 9 lbs 2 oz. This is what's left of the pulp I would say that an outcome of 90% usable passata is pretty dang good for 14 ounces. The only thing I would comment on is that it did not catch every A majority of the time, but not always. The revolving "blade" is attached down so that it is not able to rotate. As a result of the grooves on the 2 mm plate, my tomatoes didn't fall off and it wasn't like an endless merry go round. It was possible for me to rest my hand on top of the bowl and steer the pulp as it rode up the wall back into the bowl rather than out (which allowed me to get the bowl filled up at one time rather than doing tiny batches at a time) while The food mill was resting on top of my bowl, so I tucked it away I took out the cutting board that is included in the kitchen cabinet layout and placed the bowl handle in that slot, so that when I turned the mill handle, it took little effort to keep it steady since it prevented the bowl from rotating as I turned it. You can see the pictures below so you can understand what I am saying. They all claim to do so, but none You can also buy an electric system if you are unwilling to jerry rig It did not make a difference to me because it did not annoy me too much.
Having used a food mill to strain my cooked tomato sauce for thirty years, I strongly recommend it. An old family recipe is used to create the sauce. It contains a lot of onions, garlic, basil, and a few other ingredients. It is not my favorite food to eat onions, garlic, or But I do love this homemade tomato sauce with its well-strained texture. A garden of only tomatoes and basil grows in my backyard. To make the sauce, I use either a 10 quart or a 12 quart pot. I do so It is cooked for four hours and I continuously add tomatoes as the water in the pot evaporates. The pots of tomatoes need to be quite full to fill them up. By the end of the process, you should have a thick tomato sauce. I'm not talking about marinara sauce here. *After the sauce cools, I strain it and wait a few hours for it to fully cool. Then the work gets too difficult. With my food mill, I have to push down hard on the handle to work. At the same time, I have to hold the food mill still. The pot holding the strained sauce should be placed on top. My quest for something better over the past thirty years has been relentless. I tried other mills, but they did not produce the same results as my old one. Normally I enjoy making sauce, but I dreaded it this year. It is starting to show on my wrists that I am getting old. Retried Amazon for the second time. year, I noticed that this particular food mill received good reviews across the board. The product was made in Germany as well. After giving it a try, I was impressed. The straining process for tomato sauce is so easy I cannot believe it. A wife who is five feet, one inch tall and 118 pounds Now that the tomato sauce has been strained, it needs to be refilled. I find it very adequate to carry out the job compared to my old food mill that took a lot of turns. As well as being well made, it is also stylish. It is easy to clean because it comes apart easily. * NB While someone turns the other wheel, it's helpful to have someone secure the food mill to the collecting pot. It is not a big deal for me to do both.
The rust on my mother's food mill she bought in the 1950's had gotten so bad that I could no longer use it. Despite going to bed/bath and beyond, Walmart, Target, and every other place, I didn't like the quality of the food mills. for this food mill, I went to the manufacturer's website and liked what I saw, so I decided to take a chance on it even though it was more expensive than I had planned to spend. The food mill is very easy to use , it's easy to clean, and it's of very high quality. This product is a great value. I love.
It is exciting to think of how much more I can process next season! In addition, here's a side-note Also, I ordered the 1mm disc insert because I thought I would need it for processing the tomatoes. I switched back to the 2mm disc that comes with the Flotte Lotte because the 5mm disc made it more difficult. Here's the latest In the past year, I have discovered how to make applesauce with the Flotte Lotte, and I love it even more now! add pears, berries, and cranberries, or any other fruit I am "feeling," and process them together so they form a beautiful and delicious sauce.
In the long run, you will have the most useful food mill when you're willing to purchase it for the price. My first food mill was good, but it was hard to clean. I have since purchased two more, with much better results. I bought a very cheap second adapter with which I thought I could live but it broke after a week and It took about a week for this food mill to arrive. love how easy it is to use and how simple it is. With its flat bottom, the unit features a scraper that works well and is easy to use. It's also easy to clean. This is a great food mill, and I highly recommend it.
