The cheaper one isn't worth it for me, so I bought this one instead I can definitely say that it was As for my daughter, I plan to get her one as well. I love how well it works and it's easy to use A stainless steel product of the highest standard is available. This is not a small issue and needs to be addressed The investment is well worth it.
Afterwards, the core is pulled from the middle of the OXO and left in the cylinder. The core always has to be removed before the OXO is cleaned, so it can be used for whatever you like.
There is about 1/4 inch of skin left behind, though you do have to keep the diameter of the blade in mind. It would leave a bit more if you were to buy a very large pineapple. It would make your slices look like you had eyes in them if you took too much.
Despite the removable handle being plastic, the blade and shaft of the one piece shaft tube are It wasn't at first easy for me to utilize, but once I followed the instructions, it was very easy to use. This product has been useful twice to me, and I feel its price is worth it.

Since I was a child, I bought my favorite fruit already cut up and sold in those clear plastic, half-quart "convenience" containers at the supermarket. Although I recognized the savings they offered with their obvious monitary form, I was still intimidated by the stack of pineapples, fresh from the field. As a result of my reluctance to try to remove the delicious fruit from its spiney skin, I paid three times as much for someone unknown to cut my pineapple up and drop it in a plastic bag. When I discovered the OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Ratcheting Pineapple Slicer, everything changed for me. Quite the little tool! I love it! This machine can peel and core a pineapple in under 60 seconds. The OXO tool is used to cut rings of pineapple that are uniformly shaped. Slice the top off of the pineapple and use it to coil the As soon as the hard core on the fruit is removed, a golden cylinder of yummy goodness is revealed. As compared to the precut pineapple I used to buy, this pineapple tastes much better. In the money I have saved not having to buy pre-packaged stuff, the tool alone has already paid for itself. This tool is great. Don't hesitate to purchase it. Using and storing it is easy. It's also easy to clean. As you work, the ratcheting handle makes it easier to apply consistent pressure as well as to work faster. You'll even find measuring marks on the cylinder of the tool so you don't cut the fruit through the bottom. Leaving the skin intact after you remove the fruit gives you the opportunity to serve guests or use it as a bowl. I highly recommend serving iced tea inside a pineapple cup, as it is delightful. It is also recommended to serve it with a straw. I have not been compensated for my review. Please note that I have not received any compensation for this review. My favorite thing about this tool is how much I enjoy using it.
The response I received from them is satisfactory. I am concerned. The design of this corer I loved when I first received it, especially the ratcheting mechanism. It took me a few attempts to get the handle to work properly, so when removing the corer from a pineapple I just sliced, the handle broke. The ratchet mechanism was exposed when I pulled lightly on the handle, and I ended up with part of the corer stuck in the pineapple when I didn't pull hard. Following the retrieval and reassembly of all the parts, I found the corer was no longer stable. As I reached out to OXO via their customer support portal, I was met with an auto-reply, but I have yet to receive any meaningful response from them My message was answered within 24 hours ("We respond to all emails within 24 hours" After 48 hours"), it has now been over 3 weeks without any response. In spite of paying the extra for this corer, made because of the OXO name and ratchet, it turned out that the ratchet was the weak link of this machine. Although I understand that products sometimes fail, I am extremely disappointed in OXO's lack of responsiveness I am responding. Even though I already own quite a few OXO products in my kitchen (including a more expensive coffee maker), I will think twice about purchasing another one.
A pineapple is one of my favorite foods. I love apples the most out of all fruits. My limit for eating one whole pineapple in one sitting is probably about twenty ounces, but I've never attempted A pineapple corer and slicer sounded quite useful to me, but I did not know they It was therefore very easy to buy it and try it. As a matter of fact, it's very easy to use and quite simple to make. As a general rule, you first cut off the top of the pineapple with a sharp knife, you then measure the depth of your pineapple using the gauge on the tool, center the cutter in the pineapple, and press and turn your tool. Ratcheting the handle is ingenious, because you can turn the handle an additional half turn and still use the same lever to continue working. Upon cutting until you reach the mark you marked earlier, the whole thing lifts off and you're left with the pineapple's shell. In the hollowed out section of the tool, the inedible core is embedded, and on the outside, the spiral of pineapple is left exposed. You can easily pry away the handle of the tool, and the spiral of fruit slides off easily. It is the core that is the most challenging for me. It can become wedged inside the hollowed out part of the tool at times, which makes it difficult to remove. The truth will come out eventually, but some are more tenacious As for the way things are, I'd say it's just the way they are. It's unlikely that there will be much change. In spite of the aforementioned stuck core problem I've had, I have found the mattress comfortable and relatively easy to clean. I think it's about a billion times faster and easier to cut a pineapple with this than with a knife like I would if I was.
It's a pineapple. Despite the fact that I no longer buy pre-cut fruit in bulk, it is one of those fruits I never buy since it is so difficult to peel and cut when whole You can buy them at the same store for 99 cents.
But then I acquired one of these beauties and my whole perspective on pineapple was changed Having finally bought it, I can add it to my cart. After you've cut the head off the pineapple, effortlessly twist, ratchet, repeat, and finally pull out the pineapple rings, you have It is incredible. You will not find crocodile skin, brown needle things, or cores. There was just perfect pineapple inside of a pineapple shell with almost no meat on it*. I highly recommend it, as you could tell. Stainless steel makes up the majority of this version, which is extremely high quality. In fact, the cleanup only takes a few seconds and is as easy as rinsing with soap. Buying it is the best idea.
