Questions & Answers
I have found that the Oxo slicer always left the bottom skin of the apple uncut. This slicer got loose after a few uses as well. There was a problem with the welding. It is a pleasure to answer.

As long as it lasted, this slicer and corer did a good job, easy to handle and cut apples with ease. I've been using it for two weeks but for some reason I'm still experiencing problems with it As a result of only cutting one apple per day, the center circle broke free of the cutting spokes and was rendered Since Oxo products are usually well made and sturdy, this is the first time I have had an Oxo product not last.
The fact that this product seems to have not been thoroughly tested before it was manufactured concerns me. I own several other OXO products. So far, I have applied it to a variety of apples of different sizes and shapes for about a week now. There is still the same problem, also in that it does not remove enough of the core. I make myself use a knife to chop away the near core portion of the apple with seeds left inside it. Using a knife would have been far easier than buying this product and I could have saved my money on it initially.
I unplugged it the fourth time I tried it on an apple, and the metal blade fell off. Over twenty years ago, I had another one, made by a different company. After all that time, it grew dull and rusty and became hard to operate. Being as other Oxo products have worked well for me, I have been disappointed at the inferior quality. It is not worth buying again, and I would not recommend it.
At about half way down, I halted. My apple did not get cut. A real struggle to get off the apple piece of junk after stopping about halfway down the road! Moreover, I used to think OXO was a trustworthy brand that isn't the case.
My favorite apple is the sweet variety, but I dislike the preparation of it Scoop out the seeds after cutting them up. I don't bother to do it because it isn't difficult, but just difficult enough that I avoid it quite often. I like this cutter because it's simple and easy to use. Thanks to this, I get to eat apples much more often than I would have otherwise. The small thing makes such a big difference, but it's so simple to do. In addition, the handles are angled upward to ensure that, when you slice the apples, your knuckles do not collide with the cutting board. They are also slightly padded with softer silicone to provide additional protection.
In total, this is a really good I would buy from them.
Great value for the money, much better than you can find at the dollar store! With this apple slicer, I can tell a world of difference between a dollar store one and this one. Whenever I use the dollar store version, I always feel like I'm going to cut my fingers off, but this OXO one, like most of the OXO products, stands out in its own unique way, even when it looks similar. There is a tiny bit of skin left over after pulling off the blade, so if you'd like to keep it that way, it keeps its star shape. It is the sharpness and accuracy of the blade, the durability of the blade fitting into the plastic, and if it cuts all the way through the plastic that matter the most about this product. In all three areas, it passes the test. If you slice up an apple, toss the pieces in a bowl with a little lemon juice, and enjoy a healthier snack than anything you'll find in a package, you've succeeded. also like using the OXO squeeze bottles to store lemon juice in the refrigerator.
I disintegrated my Oxo apple slicer during the course of cutting an apple after a short period of use. A piece of metal on the inside of the plastic handle area split along a seam and the whole portion of metal portion fell out. I hadn't even been using the Oxo apple slicer for a long time when it fell apart. This section of the corer wasn't wide enough to include the cores of many To remove some areas that held seeds, I always had to touch up the apple slices with a knife. Regardless of the thickness of each apple, the slicer would stop short of cutting through the very end. It was my intention to send an Oxo company a replacement product, but I decided not to. I would not recommend this product for the risk of receiving another of equal quality as a replacement.
I have been with the company for five months now. I do not recommend it. It broke 1 as well as many others. We purchased it five months after purchasing No way to return it as Amazon extends its return policy to 30 days The window of time is seven days. The only other option seems to be I am stranded without help from Amazon, which is not their usual behavior. We are disappointed in the overall outcome.
