Questions & Answers

What is the country of origin of this product?

In the 1/2" size which I ordered the text still says, "Made in the USA" I am assuming this to be true According to Amazon, a report has been filed.

If the handle has to be removed during washing, is it removable? As long as I hold my phone, I always imagine the bacteria that could be growing there. ?

There is no need to remove it since You would eliminate all the bacteria if you washed it in high temperature water, as in a dishwasher.

This looks like a spoonula. Is it flat or round? Do you think it's pretty flexible as well?

We are delighted that you are reaching out to Here is a spoonula for how we aim to give the best customer service. There is some flexibility in the tip and the handle is quite strong.

Can I use this spatula without being concerned about BPA?

This is a good question to ask Rubbermaid, since I'm not sure if a product specification sheet was enclosed with the product package. Because I use the spatula only occasionally, mostly to scrape up batter that is still cool from the refrigerator, I did not worry about the possible presence of BPA.

You can go to your local restaurant supply store if you can't get there
4/5

My family and I have used rubber spoons for many years. Whenever I purchase food at a restaurant supply store, I always buy these. I keep them in my crock under my counter all the time because I use them every day. Most of the time, we enter the DW with all four I cook quite a bit. I thought I'd save myself a trip to the store by shopping on Amazon after one of my spoons got nicked (after 25 yrs, it happens sometimes). As a result of the rating, I purchased it. This spoon is okay, however it is not as thick or as sturdy as my real In summary, here are the points Please note
There are thinner edges on Rubbermaid bags and they are Despite this, I have a commercial spatula that is flexible enough to scrape bowls just as well. Over time, I don't find that the edges of the spatula are as fragile as the middle. Thinner = more fragile. My spoons, which are over 20 years old, have had that type of wear over time. Rubbermaid will be amazed if it lasts for the same length of time. Please note
A rubbermaid spoon would be lighter, but I hardly ever actively use mine for more than a few minutes at a time, so this is not an issue for me There's an issue*- You can see in the photos below that there is a difference in the thickness of the handles near Rubbermaid spoons are MUCH flimsier and thin. On the other hand, commercial spoons are MUCH sturdier.
- There is no difference in price. For cooks who cannot reach a restaurant supply store or if they are "only for the trade", the Rubbermaid storage containers on hand will suffice.

The melting point is zero
5/5

common issue with spatulas is that they are either too flexible to be of any use, or they are so stiff that they could as well serve as wooden spoons. A tough rigid handle will not bend when mixing thick dough or scraping egg curds off the bottom of a skillet, and the blade has just enough bounce and flexibility to contour to bowls and pans and smooth out any inconsistencies in pressure that you apply or release. You don't have to do anything with it, but a good spatula will do most of the work for you. In addition, it does not melt or slough off small slivers when cooking at high temperatures. For decades, this has been the industry standard, and they have been making them since then-people still have theirs decades after they bought the first. In my opinion, that was plenty of reason to replace the dollar store spatula I had been relying on to cook with that was melting and softening under low heat. A five-star rating is easy to give.

Taking aim at the stars with the spatula
5/5

It has been about five years since I've used this spatula and I have yet to find Through all I've gone through with it, this tool has been by my side. Over the lifespan of this highly reliable spatula, I have seen numerous girlfriends, roommates, cars, phones, and even the oven that I cook in come and go. Even if I die and civilization eventually collapses, I will leave behind this spatula. There will be only one rune discovered by some unknown species in the future from which an understanding of our existence can be derived. These people liked eating eggs, so they say, and they extinct peoples ate eggs like them. Eggs cooked in several ways, such as scrambled, omeletted, or The most common tool for cooking eggs was this pot. They loved to eat eggs. Now, come back, Xenu! Let's teleport into the interconnected future You should include this device in an exhibit about the Milky Way Galaxy in the galactic museum.

Finding the perfect spatula was the last step
5/5

I guess finding the right spatula isn't as important as it seems in your household. kitchen, not so much? Despite the amount of chipping and pitting in my favorite Pyrex brand spatula after 20 years of use, I'd still rescue it through a fire if it were necessary. In search of the perfect spatula to compare with my Pyrex one for years, I found just the right one this June. Those of you who enjoy using spatulas will understand what I mean. These things are either so stiff you can use them to cut meat, or so floppy that they're not useful at all. My motivation for ordering this one was the fact that the one I had was rusty red with a white spatula part. I thought, hey, kind of looks like my Pyrex device. This will be my first attempt. Thank you, Lord! It was successful. It's finally here. At the very end of the spatula, it is flexible, yet still possesses enough sturdiness to avoid being too rigid. Because of its concave shape, it let's you mix ingredients without leaving them in the pan. You can also use it as a sauce pan. The fact that it DOES NOT stain is also astounding to me! This product works perfectly with tomato sauces and other sauces. I have used it with hot sauces, too. The perfect spatula had come back to me, and I had ordered two more on the spot! For those of you who love to cook and are extremely particular about the utensils you use, this is the utensil to buy. I mean it. We are confident that you will not.

This one is a good On the Cook's Country TV show, everyone seemed to use these huge, ugly plastic bottles I finally decided to try a spatula after looking at them for a while
5/5

It is a great tool for the kitchen and I reach for it every time I cook. Though it seems logical to put it in hot fat for frying, it does not melt. It has just the right amount of flex to do an excellent job scraping fond out of Dutch ovens. You can place the blade down on two wheels on the underside of the blade so it doesn't touch the countertop if you set A notch on the blade is useful for scraping the edges of bowls, jar necks, mixer paddles, etc. The blade also has one rounded corner and one square corner so that you can scrape I think that it is very well conceived It's not in. So much so that I bought more of it to give as gifts to my friends who enjoy cooking.

It's better to use a spoon
5/5

It is the scraper and the spoon that I purchased. Compared to the spoon, I preferred it much more. As for the scraper, it is significantly stiffer and has thicker edges than a spoon. This scraper is too soft to break up chunks of tomatoes or minced meat in a skillet, yet too stiff to scrape egg whites from a bowl. In order to get the last bit of sauce from a pot or pan, I use these scrapers, and the scraper is so stiff that you have to press it hard against the surface in order to get the stuff up. There is no better way to do this than with a spoon. You can clean a pot with it so smoothly that it feels almost like a sponge. Since it is also a spoon, you can scrape down the sides and scoop everything up with it. While the scraper will not work for making bread dough, it will. The stiffness of the dough allows you to incorporating ingredients more forcefully and scraping bits of dough from the sides of a bowl with great ease.
