There's no way this material will withstand heat. *br>I normally break these spatulas, but I bought replacements after melting heat grooves in mine. I really like the size and feel of these spatulas, and we will purchase replacements when they break.
In addition to using them for cookies, they work well in 6 inch fry pans every time I fry one or two eggs in them. I know of only one size cookie spatula, 2 1/2 x 3. I'd recommend getting more since there are always some in the dish machine.

Flipping the product does not break it. The best use for this type of oil is when baking cookies and making eggs, not stir-frying. regular use, the metal will eventually start to peek through the silicone seal. (Even though I've never broken one, I suspect there are a few guilty folks at home who have. ) I've gone through four of these in the last six months. My gadget has been abused for the last few years, but I am currently a family of 8 and I cook daily.

The product is not the strongest, but it works for an extended period of time and is nothing short of fantastic. After I bought two of them, I found that they both broke after a short period of time. But they are worth every penny, and I will continue to buy them in the future, because they go under fried eggs better than any other dish I have made. Using it is like using a rubber scraper, so all the egg mixture is gotten out. Additionally, it makes it so no egg goes to waste by scraping it off the sides of the skillet. In order to limit the damage to the tool, don't exert too much pressure on it. The silicon part of the handle is broken from my former guy friend's handle due to his too forceful actions. I have owned two of these in the past. They are the best spatula you can get The flexible sides allow them to glide under delicate foods without causing any damage, yet the flat sides are durable enough to scrape clean a pan. It is awesome to work for this company as well. Despite the fact that it was used almost daily and cleaned in a dishwasher, my first spatula lasted about two years. After contacting them and asking if there was a warranty on these, they told me that any warranty would have expired, but they sent me a brand new one. In addition, the newer one broke after two more years of usage. Honestly, I am glad I found this 2 pack and believe I made a good investment. The broken parts of both spatulas are located at the distance from their handles where the 90-degree angle is at the end. Oxo changed the design to fix this, but I wouldn't suggest they change the silicon at that corner, since the metal is exposed. I would say this is going to be a coming fail point in the design, but I wouldn't recommend I like it just the way it.
There is probably truth to the claim that the connection is not as good as the original, but it still seems to work fine. I mostly use this for scrambling eggs or frying eggs in a small skillet.
