OXO Good Grips Silicone Cookie Spatula

I've used them for a lot of things, and I enjoy the size. In addition to flipping tofu in the oven or stirring stir fries and eggs, I use my fork for other purposes. As my husband was washing the hair dryer, the handle came off. I would give this five stars, except that it broke as he was washing it. It was never put in a dishwasher either! A spatula was purchased on June 23, 2015, according to our records.

OXO spatulas have been a part of my kitchen for years and I've It can be used for cooking (baking, sautéing, frying eggs) because they are not too rigid or too flexible. It only broke 5 months ago, but the one I bought 5 months ago is still working. Separation of the handle from the silicone turner has occurred. Crossing our fingers that it was not an item that was faulty and not a new version. It will be interesting to see how it goes when I order another.

PROS It is flexible and non-destructive A scratch, not a scuff This cookie stick is just the right size I use my silicone baking mats in conjunction with this product and it's great. The cons are There are none. I ordered one of these a few years ago once I found it to be just the right size to eliminate crushing nearby cookies when removing a warm cookie from its baking sheet. My first one worked so well that I realized I needed another one, since it always seemed to be in the dishwasher when I needed it. You can easily hand wash the silicone or put it in the dishwasher and it comes out perfectly clean. "Cookie" size is just right for any baker or toaster oven user who bakes small items or uses small pans (like for cookies). The silicone spatulas are so awesome that I've gotten rid of all my other spatulas and replaced them with the silicone spatulas of different sizes for all my kitchen.

It seems as if so many people have had this issue, as one of them broke. Given that I'm aware that there is a design flaw, I expect it will last longer than the first one. Be careful to not bend it further than you must. Don't ever bend it in such a way as shown in one of the photos. In addition, it is a great shape and size, and the materials are great. My favorite part about this spatula is the handle. A small pan is just what I was hoping for when it came to turning eggs. I just love it, so much. I just used this spatula to turn three eggs in a very small pan with this spatula this morning. The tiny size of the device makes it easy to get under each egg without causing The silicone material of this spatula prevents it from sticking to the pan or the egg, frying pan crud, or removing food debris from the pan. So far, I have only broken one egg (2 times a week for about 2 months) since I began using the egg chute. I find the handle to be just right for my purposes, because it's short and curved.

It is possible to see through the silicone to the "base", which is metal. doubt it will break through though, unless you leave it to rest in a hot pan then again, maybe it won't even break through. There would be no way for it to wear out without a tremendous amount of use. In any case, it would need to be replaced by then.
