It is so much easier to strain pasta or rinse vegetables when using this product. A large amount of storage space is provided by it. We were able to adjust it to fit our sink perfectly because it is adjustable. This strainer's bottom is made of hard plastic, so it will not split when filled with hot pasta water. It can readily be collapsed due to the blue rubberized material, making it a valuable storage device. In spite of the fact that these extenders are made of plastic, they support whatever we place in them very nicely with very little to no flex no matter what items are placed within them. A topside that is expanded, a bottom that is collapsed, and a standing that is totally collapsed all appear in the pictures. This product does what it is supposed to do.
My reasoning for buying this was to save space in my cupboards. I like its idea. The problem is that after a few uses, I have decided this is not by any means I just used it a few times (cooking pastas, washing veggies, etc. ) and I've noticed that there are not enough holes for the water to drain. The colander always ends up with a pool of water sitting in it in my hands while I am rinsing or draining something. The number of meals I feed is usually four There are only five of us, so the amount of food isn't excessive. I ended up going back to my old colander that drains properly, despite taking up so much space.
This product is great because of the blue color and it's a great price! As of now, all the collapsible products I have purchased have been great! It is not cheap to make a collapsible product, but we have a lot of belongings in a small space and these are great space saving products. I would recommend this product wholeheartedly.
Approximately one year passed during this period. Both sides of the collapsed part are thin and it broke both ways. It has been 40 years since I used my last standard colander. The design of the bag is what I like and I will probably buy another one.
As soon as I get home from the store, I clean out this over the sink. I like the fact that it's sturdy, and the handles are long enough to hold As opposed to other strainers/colanders that sit inside the sink on the bottom, I feel safer with this one over the sink. The fact that it can be placed in the dishwasher is fantastic!.
It occupies a minimal amount of storage space and is easy to clean. Pouring the food back into the pot or bowl does not cause any food to stick to the edges. Totally satisfied with our purchase.
A fantastic deal at this price! I wish the arms were locked into place so they didn't just move about when I moved the strainer, but in reality it isn't much of an issue!.
Aside from the collapsed sides, the whole structure collapsed. The inner part of the body is very shallow. I hoped that it would have more give as well.
