What country does it come from?

Sorry for the delay in responding; my wife put me on a computer break while we were on vacation. However, the tool is made in China, despite its reasonable construction. If I knew of a similar product made in the United States, I would gladly purchase it.

China is the manufacturer of this item. I'm not sure why it says "manufactured in the United States" on this listing. I'll make a request for that to be changed.

Is this suitable for 5 gallon metal cans?

I haven't tried it with five-gallon metal containers yet. I don't see why it wouldn't work with a standard five gallon metal container. It's perfect for five-gallon plastic containers.

I'm not sure what color it's supposed to be. I got a neon green one instead of the black shown in the picture. It's labeled with the company's logo. ?

I also got one that was green in color. This is how it works. It does not have a company sticker on it.

It is difficult to work with

My dust collection bucket has a tight-fitting lid. This aids in the removal of the lid, but it appears to almost destroy the lid when I do so. I'm not sure if it's because of this piece or because of all of the openers.

On our lids, it did not work

This product would probably work well on lids with notches, but it didn't work on our solid lids on 5 gallon resin pails.

sized pliers won't work on that bucket; however, if you can get someone to hold the bucket for you, this thing will work quickly.
