I've had this can configured in the same way for over five years, but I've never opened a SODA CAN/only BEER Cans. It's fantastic!
I've never attempted to open a tin of sardines or octopus. Using very simple physics, the Easy Open Ring Pull Can Opener works extremely well on well-known soup and broth cans. You insert the opener into the ring and use the rounded portion of the opener as a fulcrum while applying pressure with the handle. With gentle pressure, the lid easily comes off. I recommend going to your local grocery store and comparing your tin(s) to the soup cans there. A logical comparison should allow you to quickly determine whether or not the product is right for you. The opener is a simple but effective product that also serves as a nice small gift.
I haven't tried it with oval-shaped objects yet. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work with shaped cans, but I don't see why it wouldn't. I don't think there's much of a difference between oval and round.
I've done it before, and I'm sure I'll do it again!

Every day, I open a can of tiny cat food. I purchased this after my previous flip top can opener broke. Because it is made of soft rubber and has no torque, it only partially opens the can. I'm not able to open the can in this manner. br>br>THIS ITEM IS NOT RETURNABLE, EVEN THOUGH IT IS PRIME!.
I've never been able to get the prongs to fit under any of the cans I've had to open. So what's the point if I have to start it with a different opener? It ripped the top off a small can, and it flung the tab across the room from a large can that was only 1/3 open. I'm a senior citizen, and I figured this opener would assist me with my hand weakness. All I got was a headache!.
NOW IT'S GONE! Opening cans of vegetables, cat food, and other items that only had pull top openings (and a curved bottom) was my worst nightmare when I had rheumatoid arthritis. These cans won't open with an electric can opener! To be honest, I had my doubts about how well this "Ring Pull Can Opener" would work. I was willing to give it a shot because of the low price. I'M EXTREMELY HAPPY! To me, it's simply incredible! Pull-top cans are no longer a source of dread! SO EASY! I'm also very pleased with Jokari's prompt delivery! Thank you so much for this fantastic little device and for your excellent service! P. > I intend to buy more of these to give as gifts to my family. friends.
It was a huge let down. It ripped the rings out of the lid on two separate occasions. The cans were only partially opened by it. If I used the tool to remove the entire lid, it sprayed cat food all over the place. I suppose it would be of some assistance if you started opening the can by hand, then used the tool to get halfway open, then finished the job by hand. Too much trouble, in my opinion. It's also ineffective on smaller cans, such as soda cans.
(Pop cans aren't as bad because you only have to lift a tab, not the entire lid. ) ) There were smaller (and less expensive) ones, but this one gives the full-time employee more leverage. tops with lid pulls This is fantastic; I'm thinking of ordering another so that I have one for the kitchen and one for the laundry room, where we keep the dog food.
I open canned cat food with this every day. It is the most effective opener for ring pull tops. Action that is quick and smooth. The point is thin enough to slip right under that annoying ring pull on the first try, and then pull the lid off smoothly. My fingers were becoming raw before I acquired this tool. I've had my tool for a few years, and this order is for the same tool as a replacement and as a gift to others.
This is an excellent tool for removing pull tabs from can lids. We liked it so much that we gave it to our daughter and daughter-in-law as a Christmas present. law.
Hint: I used a thin layer of glue in the center of the black material when it started to come loose from the bottom of the "J" to the hook. It's like new!.
There is no way to turn the can 180 degrees and use a different lever mechanism to pry the entire TAB off. I still have to open the Drinking Hole with my clumsy fingers (or a butter knife) in order to get to the fluid inside. There must be a better way to do things!.
