Selected User Reviews For Winco Aluminum Utility Scoop, 38-Ounce, Medium
If you're a six-year-old, ignore this review. year- because the handles on these otherwise very nice, heavy duty scoops may well fit your hand perfectly, but if you're an adult, you might find them to be almost comically too short, stubby, and not big enough around either. I'm a man with average-sized hands, and I bought both the 24oz and 38oz models (same review for both) for large bags of birdseed, and I have to put my thumb inside the scoop on both of them to get a grip. In the product photos, they appear to be a lot bigger. I have a 5 oz plastic scoop with a larger handle that I use. They appear to be indestructible, but I can't use them if I have to hold them like a pencil. I'm coming back.
It is durable and simple to operate. It's a huge improvement over the plastic cup I was using before. Lol !.
I recently received an 85-ounce scoop as a gift and purchased a 38-ounce scoop for my animals. I can move 5 pounds at a time with the 85oz, which makes the job go quickly. I like to buy my dog food in bulk, and pouring a 50lb sack into my storage bin is difficult for me, so I scoop it into my container with a plastic scoop I got from a local store. Over time, the plastic became brittle, and it could only move a few pounds at a time, necessitating a great deal of scooping. This scoop, on the other hand, accomplishes the task in a flash. It's a lot less difficult to deal with now. The video appears to be of excellent quality. Aluminum is a lightweight material that is also very strong. I wish the handle had a hole through which a cord could be passed for hanging, but that is a minor quibble. These scoops are fantastic, and I intend to purchase the remaining sizes.
Everything about it appeals to me except the handle, which is too small; if it were larger, it would be ideal.
It has the ability to scoop. I don't know what else to say. It is lightweight because it is made of aluminum. You might want to go with a larger size, but it's fine for what I'm doing.
It's nice and sturdy. I used to put charcoal in my grill.
For the ice machine at work, I purchased this scoop. We bought two plastic scoops that broke within a year of using them to fill our coolers to keep drinks cold. This scoop appears to be well-made and should last for a long time.
br>Seems to be in good shape- It's what I use to get charcoal from the bin for the grill.
