I don't know-- Pickles and olives are the only things I've ever used it for. I'm not sure if the eggs will fit in it. However, it performs admirably for the other tasks I assign it to. It falls into the category of something you can do without, but it's a lot of fun to have!
A semi- plastic that is very hard. It's ideal for picnics and other outdoor activities. I use it a lot to just get the olives out of the jar without getting the juice with it, and I use it a lot for informal buffets, etc. I like it, but it's not something I'd serve at a formal dinner party. In addition, it comes with a pickle "stabber"- I like how versatile it is. Have a nice day!
Except for the website, which I've used for about three years, there are no markings on it. It's easy to use, dishwasher safe, and long-lasting. We like it a lot.
It measures approximately 8 inches in length. Because the pickle fork is about 6 inches long, it works well with tall jars. I adore it, and I bought it for two of my friends who adore it as well.

My sanity has been saved thanks to this little gadget! No more pouring the entire jar into a bowl to keep the liquid from spilling out, spooning out what you need, and then trying to get the rest of the jar back into the jar through the ridiculous opening without spilling the liquid all over the counter (because capers don't fit through a funnel). This has a lot of value for the price! It also comes with a tiny fork for baby pickles and other items that come in small jars. For home cooks, it's an absolute must-have.
It's a great idea, and it appears to be the ideal olive retrieval device, but the finished product is a flop. The spoon end is far too large, and the sides are so high that you can't turn it to get the olives. As you try to maneuver the bulbous spoon end, it simply packs the olives down. I haven't been able to get a single olive out of a jar with it yet! You might be able to get them out if there were only a few left at the bottom, but only in that case. The little fork is also difficult to remove, and spearing the olives with it once it's free is difficult.
Well-thought-out and extremely practical. The pickle fork that snaps into the handle adds to the versatility of this item. It's simple to remove olives or pickles from a jar, as well as capers, minced garlic, peppers, and anything else from a jar. You can still get anything you can't get with the scoopy shaped spoon by combining the pickle fork and spoon. Because the handle isn't 20 inches long, I suppose there's a limit if you buy pickles and other foods in gallon jars. The ones at the bottom will be difficult in that case, but simply remove the aerial from your car and duct tape it to this spoon! After that, you can continue to enjoy your gallon of pickles without interruption.
This is one of those useful kitchen tools you won't use very often, but you'll be glad you have it when you do. I've only used it a couple of times to spear pickles and spoon olives out of a jar. I'm fine with the slotted spoon draining the liquid but only scooping up one olive at a time, because it's better than any other method I've tried. The color is also appealing to me.
I like olives in my salads, so I buy the large jars at Sam's Club, and this spoon with drainage holes is perfect for getting the big olives out of the jars. I was using a large spoon, but there was a lot of juice, and the olives would roll off even then, but not with this spoon and fork. The fork is small and snaps into the back of the spoon, making it easy to locate. The spoon is best for smaller olives, but it can also be used for larger ones.
I bought it to can olives, but I ended up using it to can beans instead. This is a great way to get any floating beans or skins back. This is something I'm going to forward to all of my canning buddies. The fork that comes with it is useful for keeping my husband out of the kitchen while I'm canning.
My husband initially thought it was a waste of money, but he eventually uses it. It's ideal for removing olives from jars.
All of my friends received gifts from me. I bought one for myself and two more for friends after seeing them in a store. It was a hit with them. It's incredibly simple to get pickles and olives out of jars with this method. A spearing fork is hidden behind the scoop. What a brilliant concept. Anyway, the store was out of them, so I ordered two more from Amazon for more friends. And now that I think about it, I think another friend would enjoy it, so I'll order another. Joseph Joseph produces a lot of "good idea" products, and this is one of them.
