Years ago, I worked for a well-known chicken sandwich joint (whose mascot is an illiterate cow *hint*hint*). One of my nicknames while working there was "Chicken Priest," because some customers would confess to me while I was working the Drive-Thru. Maybe they did it because they were bored, or maybe it's because I give off that vibe. Regardless, I used this fantastic ice scoop in between hearing things that most fast food employees don't hear from the customers they serve. This is the exact same brand and model of scoop that your favorite chicken sandwich joint "dispenses" to the grunts. br>br>This scoop tastes just like a fried chicken sandwich. amazing.
Ideal for an icemaker with a large capacity.
When we have Club House Parties, it works out perfectly. It's nice not to have everyone's hands all over the ice, and the scoop's quality is excellent; the weight is good, and I believe it will hold up to the many people who will use it.
The ice bin doesn't get as cold as the metal ones, and the bottom part under the handle keeps the rest of your hand out of the ice; unfortunately, ice gets stuck in the bottom part from time to time, but it's just a quick flip to get it out. Also, for a tall drink, it gets just the right amount of ice.
Originals can be replaced with these.
The plastic rim under the handle bothers me because it collects ice and spills all over my floor.
Very nice. sturdy. This one, however, was too large to fit in my ice maker. However, I will not be returning it because I intend to "repurpose" it.
I like how it looks and how well it protects your hands. The holders slide around a lot on the ice machine, and the scooper broke after a few months, but we replaced it because we liked the style.
