It is contingent on the situation. The hole (2 1/2 " x 3") is probably large enough. The anova sous vide clip opens wide enough to go over the box's lip, suspending the sous vide about 6" down and away from the box's bottom. One of our sous videos has a problem with the clip not opening wide enough to go deep enough over the edge of the box.
Some should be arriving soon in a shipment. (As of the end of October 2021) - Väeske, Väeske, Väeske, Väeske

All I know is that it will work with my Anova Precision PRO. I'm just putting this out there in case anyone has a question about that product, and hopefully the seller will be able to respond.

I can't comment on the quality; I was looking for something a little bigger than my Rubbermaid 12QT container, but the size was misrepresented. It is shown in the advertisement that there are ten people. 5" x 12. 5" from the bottom to the top. The actual dimensions are 8" x 10". 5" from the bottom to the top. The container has a tapered shape to it. The container's maximum height is eight feet. 5" x 11". The 10. 5" x 12. The length of the lid's lip sticking out over the container is measured in inches. I could tell it was smaller than my Rubbermaid container as soon as I took it out of the box.
So far, I've only used it once, but I'm pleased with my purchase. Disappointments: br>br> br>The counter was extremely hot after being heated to 147°F for 2 hours. I was hoping for better insulation from the sleeve. I believe I had a little too high an expectation. br>br>The handle on which you grab the lid isn't well designed. The lid must be removed with both hands. I dropped the lid into the water the first time I removed it. The texture of the handle is smooth, but it isn't too deep, making it difficult to grip. (certainly not a reason to pass it up)br>br>What I liked: br>I really like the rack. It works perfectly. Even with a food sealer, I occasionally get small bubbles that cause the bag to float, but this completely eliminates that problem. br>br>The sleeve is a little thinner than I anticipated, but it's still of good quality.
It allows us to sous vide larger quantities and sizes of meat than our 8 qt pot, and the lid and sleeve allow us to cook for longer periods of time without adding water. The rack was perfect for separating and weighting down slabs of pork ribs (cut in half). The bar on top of the rack eliminated the need for improvised weights made from kitchen utensils and clips to keep the bags in place. We're pleased with the model we chose. It appears to be of good quality and will last for a long time.
This took the place of my metal pot, and I was able to resume cooking with it. It heats up much faster than a metal pot, and the insulation keeps the counter from getting too hot. Even on 12-hour cooks, I don't have to add water because the lid keeps the evaporating water in. br>br>Sometimes it's a little larger than I need, but other times it's great to be able to fit a big roast in there. It appeals to me.
However, I have yet to use my dish. After opening the box, I couldn't stay in the same room for long. It has a strong odor. Since most plastic used for cooking and eating these days is BPA free, I didn't even think to look into it before purchasing. It's usually labeled as such on the packaging. I was so taken aback by my new cooking device that I forgot to mention it when I placed my order. I came here to do some research to see what others had to say, and I came across the following questions/answers: br>Questions from customers br>br>br>br>br>br>br Is the container made of polycarbonate free of bpa? I'd like to do more with the container than just sous vide. br>A: No. BPA is present in this and all other polycarbonate sous vide containers at the moment. Posted on April 16, 2020 by Alchemy Kitchenbr>Q: Does this plastic contain BPA?
A: Nobr>On December 30, 2020, by Yak Driverbr>Clearly. There are two distinct responses! This will almost certainly be returned to you. With the amount of chemicals in the dish my family's food was cooked in, I don't feel comfortable heating food for such long periods of time and feeding it to them. It isn't a faint odor. I'm in excruciating pain in my temples!.
I have an older Inova sous vide machine, and this fits perfectly; I've made pork belly without this container before, and my house would become extremely humid due to evaporation, and I'd have to refill my container. There is no humidity with this (I live in Hawaii, and we get a lot of it). It also heats the water more quickly, so I don't have to refill it as often. br>br>Another feature I like is that I can still use clips on the side without negatively impacting the performance. There are others, but for the price, this is a great option. br>br>Here are a few things to think about.
1. The linning on the cloth appears to be slipping down or off. I'm not sure how effective it is, but it's a nice barrier to keep your counter and hands safe when you need to move it at higher temperatures. I wish they'd used non-slip silicone when making it. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br I think the metal used to hold the items down is a little wonky and only works when there are enough items to force the ends apart; if you were only doing one steak, I think it could have been designed a little better. I was able to defeat us by simply placing the largest piece of the steak on top of it. It still functions properly, but not in the way that it was intended. I'm sure it would have been better if I had paid a higher price.
This small unit appealed to me primarily because of the rack. The food is kept submerged by a crossover bar on top. After receiving the unit, I discovered that finding a similar VESKE rack in other sizes was nearly impossible, and that the thermal cover had been treated with a strong gag-inducing chemical. Following that, I purchased a Geesta medium-sized rack and a LIPAVI small-sized rack. The feet on the Geesta rack were a little sharper (as opposed to the other two brands' rounded ends). On the model I purchased, LIPAVI's did not have a crossover bar. The inserts from LIPAVI, on the other hand, were of higher quality (inserting). VESKE inserts are more secure (locking in place). For my largest container, I needed another rack, so I went with the LIPAVI rack. I was pleased to discover that the smallest LIPAVI rack inserts fit into the largest LIPAVI rack after receiving this rack.
- br>If I only wanted to buy one unit and already had a Joule Sous Vide, this VESKE unit without the thermal cover would be ideal. The VESKE lid, on the other hand, will not fit if you have the Anova Pro or the YEDI.
- br>THE PERFECT DO-IT-YOURSELF Purchasing all LIPAVI racks, LIPAVI universal lids, and chain weights (since I'll be using several different sizes of containers) would be preferable.
