This pan has a scratchy surface and is not non-stick. stick. The difference between enamel cast-iron and this is that enamel cast-iron is slick and smooth, whereas this is rough and cannot be improved by seasoning. It's also too large to return without incurring additional costs.

Adding flavor to it It's ready to cook once you open the box and wash it in soapy warm water. Oohlala. The so- No such thing as an enameled finish. It still needed seasoning to keep it from sticking and make cleanup easier. The handle's head protection piece came in handy. Just don't expect it to cook eggs properly or keep them from sticking right out of the box.

The quality is poor. This is a disaster. Cast iron skillets with a coating of some kind on the surface. Clearly, enamel is not one of them. The texture is grittier than sandpaper. I wouldn't cook with these.
