It measures approximately 8" in width and 2" in depth. Will fit medium flour tortillas but not burrito-sized tortillas.
Warm flour tortillas can be kept warm for 20 minutes with the help of a soft cloth napkin if they are served cold.
It's more of a resin-like substance. It can be washed in the dishwasher and reheated in the microwave. Mine is fantastic!
I'm not sure where it's made, but it's made of a very light material. A dollar store would most likely have the same or a similar product. However, I bought a larger one from Nordicware, which was made in the United States and was heavier duty.

I tried it twice and it worked perfectly the first time - It was perfect with just a couple of tortillas and a few seconds in the microwave; the second time, I popped it in and heard a loud pop. When I opened the door, I noticed that the lid had suctioned itself to the bottom. Even with a screwdriver, I was unable to pry the lid off. Into the trash, and back to paper towels to warm up.
This is a great tortilla to have on hand. Unfortunately, the advertised dimensions are external, so it's useless to me. The internal diameter is only 8", so it won't fit in the fajita-style grill. I hoped to keep it full of Mexican-style tortillas. However, I am unable to penalize the keeper. It's sturdy, easy to clean, not unattractive, and inexpensive, and I'm confident it'll do the job if your tortillas are small enough.
As a result, this device is ideal for making tortillas. It's so good that I'm going to start using it for everything that comes off the griddle: Unfortunately, the top handle is depressed into the lid, and the bottom comes up a little in the center, so there's only enough room in the center for one or two pancakes. It's fantastic with super-flat tortillas, but not so much with anything else. br>br>However, in theory, it's fantastic, and I wish I'd tried it sooner. I'll be looking for a kitchen gadget that can be used for a variety of purposes rather than just one.
The lid was kept on by a vacuum created by the vacuum. Forcing it open resulted in damage, a crack, and the inability to use it.
Tortillas, pancakes, bread, and other foods are stored in this device. My only complaint is that I bought this and then saw an identical one for half the price at my local grocery store about a week later, which disappointed me.
When my daughter moved out and got her own place, I bought this for her. For years, I've been using something similar to this. Not only do I use it to keep tortillas warm, but I also use it to keep pancakes, sausage, and bacon warm. It's an absolute must-have for any kitchen!.
Simple but effective! I made my own corn tortillas and used these molds to shape them. They were used for salad, cilantro rice with carnitas, and even chips, which were served in them as serving bowls, several to a table, alongside bowls of guacamole and salsa. They were a big hit with the audience.
If you eat a lot of tortillas, this is a useful item to have because it holds about fourteen (14) tortillas and keeps them safe from bugs while also keeping them fresh. It also looks much nicer than the plastic bag in which tortillas are packaged. Thank you for your time and consideration, and have a pleasant day.
