No, I don't believe the lid will completely close. The diameter of the cooker as a whole would be 10 inches. Nonetheless, it's an excellent appliance!
Yes, 6 or 8 inch tortillas will do the trick.
Only 120 volts are supported by the model I have. I guess I'll have to resort to using a converter. I hope this has been of assistance. Pat.
They are crimped - almost penetrates – so you can cut them with ease A pizza cutter or a sharp paring knife are my tools of choice.

Every Saturday night, a different cuisine will be served. Saturday afternoon, I took this out of the box and placed it on our Mexican buffet's "make your own quesadilla" section. My 12-year-old daughters enjoyed making quesadillas. It was also a big hit with my husband. It's incredibly simple to work with. Simply place one tortilla on top of the other, load it up, and repeat. Close the lid, wait a few minutes, and you'll have a perfect pie-side quesadilla. It was simple to operate, clean, and store, and it was a good size. When I get home, I'll make quesadillas every day until I get bored with my new toy, but Mexican Night will always happen.
The quesadillas, on the other hand, were fantastic. I bought this for my husband in December of 2017, and he made some delicious quesadillas with it, but it broke after the third use. br>After each time, we cleaned it and returned it to the box. The bottom metal part of the lid broke off the third time we heated it up, added quesadilla mix, and closed the lid. *See photos
At this time, the handle is not fastened down. br>Handled this with care, but it appears the bottom broke or was defective because it got too hot. br>I saw great Amazon reviews, but I should have read the negative reviews because this has happened before. br>I wish I had purchased it during my return window, but I purchased it in late December and did not use it until February. My return period ended on the 30th of January. So, if you buy it, make sure you use it right away and often to ensure you don't get a bad one!.
I first received this as a gift and was initially underwhelmed by the concept until I put it to use. What a fantastic way to prepare quick meals for the kids, use up leftovers, or simply make a quick snack. It works with almost any type of filling as long as you don't go too far and obstruct the lid's closure. If you're using a thick filling (like diced chicken), you might need to use some muscle strength to close the lid enough to engage the lock. That is good because I haven't had any issues getting the interior contents hot before the shell burns. The shells, on the other hand, become more crunchy than, say, a fast food quesadilla. br>br>The interior design includes ribs that press down on the shells to create sealed triangle pockets, but they aren't long or sharp enough to cut the quesadilla for you. The triangles can usually be separated by breaking or tearing them apart, but if you really want them separated, you'll need to use a knife and cut them. The inside of the building is also non-reflective. Everything that leaks out of mine, on the other hand, quickly burns and usually sticks to it. Because you can't submerge the maker in water, cleaning it can be a pain if it gets really dirty. br>br>By doing so, you'll be able to make quesadillas with pre-made tortillas. The only limit to the type of quesadilla you can make is your imagination and how much stuff you can cram into it while still keeping the lid sealed. I immediately went out and bought another when the one I was given broke after two years because I loved it so much.
Yum! br>br>I'd recommend cleaning it thoroughly the first time you use it; it has a slight burn-off smell when you first turn it on, and I'd assume you'll have to toss the first thing you make on it if you haven't cleaned it thoroughly.
Well, it turns out that the husband doesn't know how to properly clean kitchen appliances, so he reasoned, "Hey, I'm lazy. " Let's use a bottle brush to scrub the crap out of this quesadilla maker like I'm some sort of Mr. Clean genius. " When the quesadillas became so hot that we were on fire 5- After 7 unsuccessful attempts to remove the delectable meal or snack from the appliance due to some brilliant male's decision to scratch it to death, I decided to discard it. That meant I'd have to hear "Where did the quesadilla maker go?" for the next two weeks. " as a form of retaliation for allowing the poor creature to perish. I'll buy another once I'm sure my husband has learned from his mistakes and isn't going to ruin our kitchen appliances any longer. Thank you very much. I'll buy it again because it's a great product.
as well as the most frequently used. Dinners that are both simple and delicious! On Sunday, we make some crock pot salsa verde chicken (recipe found on pinterest) and use it in quesadillas all week! The cooking trick to a PERFECT quesadilla every time (which I discovered in one of the comments here) is to 1) use cooking spray first, 2) keep the cheese toward the center of the quesadilla (spread to the size of an average smaller pancake), 3) don't use too much cheese, 4) just set the lid on the quesadilla to cook for 1 minute, 5) then LATCH the lid and cook for another 1 minute. The time limit is five minutes. Finally, here are a few pointers to help you make the perfect quesadilla every time: 1) the cooked flour tortillas at Costco (near the bread) are the perfect 8-inch size and come in bulk for parties, 2) the white quesadilla cheese in the red bag or the mixed Mexican blend cheese, both in bulk at Costco, are perfect for this, and 3) for the tastiest quesadilla ever, sprinkle in a little Trader Joe's chili lime seasoning inside the quesadilla (also with the shredded salsa verde chicken). For the easiest, tastiest, kid-friendly summer dinner, dip in sour cream, salsa, or quac.
