Yes, the temperature rises to the point where the marshmallow melts. It takes longer than a campfire, but it is safer because no marshmallows are burned. It was a huge hit with my grandchildren, ranging in age from 6 to 26.
Yes, soapy water in a hot bath!
I looked at Lowes and found several, one of which is $39. One hundred and ninety dollars 00, while the other is worth $29. This is a good price, and you get what you pay for.
Yes, you place them on the center burner!

This was an excellent solution. I was worried that it wouldn't catch fire and burn the marshmallow the way I wanted, but it did! It was an excellent solution. It quickly heated up, but proceed with caution. It's extremely hot outside!.
It's something that my entire family uses on a regular basis, and it's something that all of my friends use when we have get-togethers. We no longer have s'mores on a weekly basis because they are so easy to make and delicious! I can't say enough good things about this smores maker; it's so simple to use and clean. My only gripe is that I'm out of graham crackers and need to go out and buy some! Haha! I'd buy it again, and I'd recommend it to anyone!.
The device does not get hot enough to roast a marshmallow as well as a real fire. After getting tired of holding it for so long, the kids began placing it on the hot metal in an attempt to cook, burn, or otherwise induce them to cook. In terms of cooking, I was extremely dissatisfied.
Though it only toasted well near the metal in the center. To get it really toasted, they had to do it one by one. They, on the other hand, relished every second of it.
We received this as a gift for the kids and were all excited to try it out, but if you like really brown marshmallows or burnt ones (like me), this is not for you; we sat forever holding the marshmallow over the heat and to even get a tiny spot a little brown, you had to almost touch the metal plate, and no matter how long you hold it over the heat, it will not turn brown if it isn't almost touching the plate, but it will stifle the.
It does not heat up enough to warm the marshmallows, so you must hold it over it for a long time.
I paid $10 more for the kit with four skewers, but I should have saved my money and bought the one with only two. Those appear to be longer in any case. Allow the coil to turn orange before attempting to heat marshmallows; otherwise, it will take FOREVER. Once the coil is orange, we timed it for less than 2 minutes to brown them. When you turn on the coil for the first time, it emits some smoke and smells. In under a minute, he was gone. br>br>Because the power cord is so short, you'll need an extension cord if you want to put it on a table and use it as a family. Expect children to be enthralled and think you're incredible. br>br> It was well worth it.
The marshmallows take a long time to heat up. My grandchildren were becoming increasingly irritated. I'd recommend using fire, but it'll suffice in an emergency.
