Nostalgia Indoor Electric Stainless Steel S'mores Maker with 4 Compartment Trays for Graham Crackers, Chocolate, Marshmallows and 2 Roasting Forks, Brown

This was purchased to enhance my children's enjoyment of family night. They enjoyed it and found it to be safe to use. I had to remind my son to ask for assistance reaching the other side of the serving trays because he could have burned his wrist; obviously, it gets hot, so I kept an eye on them, especially my younger ones. Warming up can take some time. The coil will turn a bright red color. You can roast more quickly if this happens, but if you don't wait, it appears that it won't work. It turns them golden brown and puffs them up without making them too hot. They're hot enough that the chocolate melts around the edges but remains solid in the middle. It won't move around that way. Because the forks are so short, your arms will tire out quickly. Kabob skewers worked out better for us. My children brushed up against the metal grate with the marshmallow. It turns black and disintegrates into ashes that can be easily wiped away. I kept the box and everything inside, and I think it would make a great gift, especially for a gift exchange around the holidays.

This S'mores maker is fantastic! I recently purchased s'mores supplies and wanted to make them without having to light a fire. I researched all of the different s'mores machines online and am so glad I went with this one! br>br>It heated up quickly right out of the box. We started toasting marshmallows once it was glowing red! I couldn't believe how brown and toasty the marshmallows got in such a short amount of time. I was concerned after reading other reviews about the lengthy wait. However, in my house, toasting marshmallows took about the same amount of time as building a bonfire (minus the smell!). We love it and will use it again and again because the s'mores have that familiar outdoor taste to them. This is an excellent product.

This s'more maker has a slew of issues. The heating station does not nest in the middle of the trays, as the image suggests. The heater is SQUARE and nests in the ROUND center (as directed by the instructions). There's no way to keep it from sliding around on top of the trays. Instead, it is safer to place it on the table. As a result, the trays are somewhat redundant. There's no place for the cord to come out if the trays aren't used to lift the heater off the table, and it doesn't sit flat. The grid that covers the heating element does not snap into place or fit properly. Touching the grid is dangerous, but there is no way to avoid getting burned. This is a huge waste of money and a huge disappointment. I'm hoping to get a refund, so I'm hoping to go back.

I had to give it a one-star rating because the whole point of it is to roast marshmallows, which it doesn't seem to do. br>br>Heating the marshmallow took an absurdly long time. It had a lukewarm feeling about it. I got so impatient halfway through that I didn't even leave it on long enough to be considered lukewarm. I could have just smeared the marshmallow on top of the cracker and chocolate and eaten it cold. br>br>I'd say it's aesthetically pleasing, and the design with it resting on the trays is nice. br>br>It would be preferable if it came with four prongs rather than two (due to the average family size). br>br>Actually, it's the recipes that I like best! Has 4 or 5 dessert recipes (all involving roasting marshmallows) that I'd like to try in the future (though the s'more maker isn't required). br>br>I purchased flameless because I have a baby and a toddler, and it seemed safer. It's essentially a single electric portable stovetop with a lot of features. I was afraid it wouldn't work or take too long because of the mixed reviews. It meets our requirements perfectly. This Smores maker is a hit with my 5-year-old, and we use it at least once a week. I plug it in to warm up while I prepare the ingredients and connect the trays, and it's ready to use.

When it's too cold or wet to go outside, this is a great way to make s'mores inside. My son (4) and his friend both enjoyed it. When I first tested it, it took a little while for the marshmallows to melt because I had plugged it in a few minutes before we used it, so it was already hot. Then it will function more effectively. It's enjoyable to play with and simple to maintain. It's simple to store. Only two small s'mores skewers are included. I purchased a set with adjustable handles from Amazon. I would strongly suggest it.

More kid- An open flame isn't as welcoming as a smoldering ember However, roasting marshmallows takes SO LONG that even my niece and nephew couldn't wait for theirs. It also didn't have the same flavor as cooking over an open flame.

We've been having a lot of fun with this small s'mores maker; it's not too big, doesn't take up a lot of space, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. We couldn't build fires or do anything like that where I live, so this was the next best thing. It's worked out great for us; the only drawback is that it only comes with two of the small roaster sticks, so if you have more than one person roasting, you'll need to find another way to stick your marshmallow on.
