Is it necessary to salt and pepper this?

Then heat it for 5 minutes at 450 degrees (dry and empty), then turn it off and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes. I recently received mine, which was missing the lid's knob and screw. Amazon demanded that I rebox the entire package and return it so that I could receive a new one with all of the parts. I then contacted the manufacturer, who informed me that I would have to work through the seller. My issue hasn't been resolved yet. Fortunately, a knob from an old lid fit.

Is there a chance of hotspots in this area?

I've used it to cook veal liver with onions, chicken thighs (2) with onions, mushrooms, and fish, and I use it when I don't want to dirty up my stove! So far, I haven't noticed any "hot spots" or "cold spots" unless they are in the very corners. I'm not bothered by it. Cook bacon and eggs with spinach in a skillet. My main concern is that it is simple to clean and operate, and the ceramic coating is fantastic!

Such a letdown

When it came out of the box, this pan was fantastic. After three months, the bottom, where the heating element is located, turned black. In that ring, everything clung to it, and we couldn't get it clean again. Given all of the praise for the copper surface bottoms, it was a huge letdown. I intended to return it, but I misplaced the box. I'm going to throw it out and get a teflon one instead. They last twice as long and cost half as much.

I wanted to be able to write a review based on six months of use with three different types of meat. 4 times per week I've owned over ten electric skillets from various manufacturers over the course of my life. This Bella copper skillet is, without a doubt, the best I've ever used. The temperature setting is accurate (a thermometer was used to verify this). The finish is still as shiny as it was when I first took it out of the box. It's incredibly simple to clean; simply wipe it down with a dry paper towel to remove any residue, then hand wash with soapy water to restore its original appearance. Prior to purchasing, I recall reading mixed reviews, which made me wary of making a purchase. I'm glad I followed my gut and went ahead and bought it. I'm going to buy a second one just in case. Don't be hesitant to buy; you won't be disappointed!.

These copper ceramic Skillets appeared to be stain and scorch resistant to me. It now has an element burn mark (a circle in the center of the pan) that won't come out after a few months of moderate use. This Skillet is no better than a traditional Teflon coated product in my opinion, and I would not recommend it as an upgrade.

For a few months, it works well. The heating element burns through after a while due to the thin base. Then it begins to stick in the vicinity of the heating element.

The first one arrived half-assembled and bent over, along with a box of shattered glass. Amazon was fantastic in getting a replacement to me in a matter of days. I bought it to use for casseroles, braising, and smaller breakfasts that didn't warrant breaking out my 15-year-old large flat skillet. Copper's promise and claims of non-stick appealed to me. I'm on a weight-loss program, so cutting down on fat in the pan for cooking was a factor in my decision to purchase this. The truth is that nonstick claims simply do not hold up in practice. I used this for eggs the first day and ended up with eggs stuck to the pan (I used olive oil spray). After a few weeks of experimenting with different fats for cooking, I went back to my well-seasoned cast iron skillet for eggs; perfect eggs only require a quick spray of olive oil. To avoid a messy half-sticky item, fat or longer sprays are required for French toast, pancakes, and other similar items. The first time I "browned" ground turkey breast, it became so stuck that I had to use broth and simmer it until it was done, resulting in a stained pan. Aside from sticking, another point to keep in mind is that the lid is not a tight fit, allowing air and steam to escape. This means that if you're cooking, you'll lose liquids and risk a thick burnt sauce. br>br>The bottom line for me is that the pan does not save fat when cooking; in fact, it requires more fat and sticks worse than my cast iron skillet. The lid does not close tightly, allowing steam and liquids to escape, making it unsuitable for simmering. Food sticks to the ring around the heating element, resulting in high cooking temperatures in the area of the heating elements while the corners of the pan remain much cooler, resulting in uneven heating. The area above the elements is dark and abrasive. My recommendation is as follows: br>br> Invest in a higher-quality pan. Look for one with a solid reputation as a "non-profit" organization. a non-stick" surface, a cooking surface with consistent temperatures, and a lid that fits snugly. My pan is trash, and I wouldn't give it to a rummage sale as a donation.

For the first month or so, it was perfect

Food sticks to where the heating element is now all of the time, it didn't at first, and it takes a sponge and some scrubbing to get the food off of this area of the pan after two and a half months of use (I've only used metal utensils on it two or three times). For the first month or so, it worked perfectly, but now the food sticks to the heating element more and more with each use. As stated in the description, the heat does not distribute evenly throughout the pan.

I won't go so far as to say it's "awful," but I'm perplexed by all the positive feedback - I'm not sure if they're real or not. br>br>Let's start with the positives: The ergonomics of this frying pan are reasonable, the handles remain cool, and the nonstick surface has performed admirably thus far (I've only had it for a little over a month). Cleaning is a breeze. Then comes the bad: br>br> The cord is incredibly short; I'm guessing it's less than a foot in length. I understand that short cords are beneficial in that they are less likely to catch and cause the appliance to fall off the counter, but this one is ridiculous. Last but not least, there's the unattractive. This pan is made from a high-quality material. It's thin, and it doesn't hold or distribute heat well. Starting with a cold pan and a temperature of 300 degrees, the far corners of this pan reach 560 degrees (measured with an infrared thermometer) before the heat is turned off! In the same test, the pan it replaced (which wasn't great) only got to around 410 degrees at the worst spot, and the heat is uneven even when the temperature stabilizes. When cooking hamburgers, the area directly over the heat source browns much faster than the rest of the meat. The same goes for other foods. Also, the thermostat isn't set to anything below 300 degrees Fahrenheit - It would be absurd to try to keep something warm in it because it holds temperature so poorly. br>br>An appliance like this needs to be made of thick material to heat evenly and maintain good temperature control. And this thing only weighs about 3 pounds with the handles (but not the cord/thermostat). 5 pounds! This would be an excellent pan if it were made of a thicker material, but it appears that manufacturers of electric frying pans (and other products) are in a "race to the bottom" in terms of quality these days.
