Questions & Answers
KitchenAid made the replacement hubs out of cast aluminum in place of stainless steel originally designed for this purpose. In the wire, stainless steel is still used, but not in the hub. In either case, it applies whether you purchase it directly from KitchenAid or through Amazon. As a result of dishwasher use, the aluminum hub oxidizes and becomes If you rub your hands or eat with the black, it rubs off easily. Electroplating the hub was done by an organization I found online. There is no oxidation and no black junk on it any more after being washed in the dishwasher.
recently ordered an Artisan KSM 150 which arrived today, Oct. 21, 2015. I ordered it a few days ago and it just arrived a few days earlier. When it arrived this morning, the first thing I wanted to know was whether it would fit. Once this is done, it's done. There's no better way to describe it than it's an absolute This will most certainly fit your 150, so yes, it will.
This was for my mom, and it fit her perfectly. It is the same model number as her mixer, so I got it.

It became corroded and black after repeated use. Following one hand wash, the item corroded, leaving my fingers covered in a black, gritty powder. My refund request will be sent out tomorrow.
As you can see, the original that came with the mixer is very different in fit and finish from the replacement. appears that this replacement will fit and work well, but I would have expected a part that was listed as KitchenAid brand and arrived in a KitchenAid box to be of the same quality as the part I had before.
Besides this, I don't think I need to add anything else. This happened the second time I used it, nor is it a KitchenAid device.
This dish is not suitable for the dishwasher or oven, and maybe even not suitable for the heat Ensure that the water is not contaminated. As soon as the metal finishing on my first whisk began flaking off into my cake and cookie batters, I bought a second whisk. Likewise, he did the same thing with the second. The finish on the whisk gets eroded whenever I attach it or reattach it, so my hand gets stained gray. I have to hold a piece of foil beneath the stove to prevent my family from eating rust or whatever else it could be. This is my first time using a dishwasher, and as such I cannot figure out why the bowl, the cookie paddle, and the dough hook are What company cannot find it hard to make a stainless steel whisk that can be put in the dishwasher? Then remind all of us that the thing must be delicately dry- at the very least warn the cooks out there- I felt like silk after I washed it. The upside is that it beats eggs exceptionally It won't affect your eggs too much if they're a little gray.
At first I was excited when I found a new wire whip at a reasonable price, but I was soon to discover that I had been duped. Those who possess a KSM90 mixer will not be able to use this whip. As far as the shaft is concerned, it is If you look at the two pictures of the whips, you will notice in the first picture there is a slight tapering at the top of the shaft. As you can see, the shaft is straight in the second photo. When I saw the first picture and saw where it fits the KSM90, I knew it was the This is incorrect. When returning, I will see about the shipping costs, but if they are too high, I will just get rid Likewise, the metal quality does not appear to be very good. I am a bit concerned about food items being successfully prepared with it.
I bought it for my 5 qt tilt head artisan mixer, which works just fine. I compared it to the original that came with the machine, and they appear to be almost identical in size. The bowl looks a bit bigger than the one that came with the machine, and that's a good thing, since it's a bit wider from the whip to the side of the bowl than the one that came with the machine. The issue is therefore not a problem. It washed well with soap and water, and I did not notice anything amiss with it. For a chiffon cake, I whipped up egg whites and egg yolks, and they whipped.
There was a mistake on my part. As far as I could tell, I had never imagined this would be a hand wash only product and didn't notice the line that stated it. BOLD should be used for that line. Traditional techniques for whipping egg whites involve using exceptionally clean whisks. These must be squeaky clean to get the right volume. Whenever I store something away, I ALWAYS use my dishwasher to get everything squeaky clean. Approximately half of the item's price is refunded as return shipping costs.
We had broken our previous whisk and one of the spokes came out of its place, so I bought this to replace it. Snaps perfectly into my mixer. I have no issues at all with it. I also like the fact it came with instructions and didn't tell me to put it (This makes me wonder if that wrecked our old one?.
