The grease used in the kitchenaid mixer has been replaced and it now smells like hot oil and is hot to the touch (it didn't before). The grease whipped around again as the wheels came apart. It didn't stick to the gears - As if it were OEM, I gobbed it on. It's not the first time I've done this. This is the first time this has happened to me.

After a little research, we decided that recreasing the mixer would be the best course of action. Since it hasn't been that long, I cannot speak to the longevity but I think it is sufficient and I believe that it will continue. Replacing it is a good idea.
