Questions & Answers

Could you tell me if it has a good slow speed since I can't seem to find one on hand mixers?

I'm not sure if the slow speed is actual slow, to make things worse, it starts in "turbo" mode, and then slows down until it's not there. It's very nice A slow speed is indicated.

When mixing cream cheese, how well does the mixer perform? Making cheesecakes is on my list of things to do. ?

At the moment, I have no positive news to report. Currently, I'm having to deal with a replacement, but frankly, I'm not too happy that I have to pay shipping for a $60 mixer that I feel is defective. I used the mixer for 18 months, but it didn't work (it didn't come up to speed).

What is the case that comes with this?

This is not true, so I bought an identical item from a different well-known store, which did come with a storage container at the same price, including taxes. Unlike the 9 speed, which comes with a container to store in, the 9 speed is also at least 15 dollars more expensive.

The beaters are made of stainless steel, right?

The wheels have been replaced three times already. I do not know what their material is. It is the mixer that is great and it is the beaters that are less impressive.

Think twice before you read this post
3/5

If you want to use a different mixer, I suggest you do so. My initial reaction to receiving this mixer was 'I love it. ' Reviewers have accurately described all positive aspects in their reviews. However, this mixer's weakness lies in the mechanism that retains the beaters. The beaters have tinier tabs that hold them in, which break quite easily after a short period of time as you use them. At first these tabs hold the beaters in, but they will falling out after a short period of time. As a result, you will end up with a perfectly new mixer that doesn't lock into the beaters. My brand-new one is already useless after using it for less than 12 times. The Cuisinart website contains no fix for this issue. The mixer is out of warranty since I do not use it very often. I find the design to be very, very poor. I hope you have better luck in the future. If the two little plastic parts on the mixer did not break, the mixer and price would be great.

Issue with design of the product
3/5

Cuisinart is one of the brands we own a lot of small appliances because its products have always been of great quality. It has remained that way up to It is the Despite its design flaw, the beater attachment on the Model 70 hand mixer can not be locked and held securely in As I read other Amazon reviews of the product, I noticed other customers had the same problem. This mixer is not a recommended purchase due to the issue, as I cannot use it anymore. The old (and cheaper) hand mixer was never a problem and worked after years of use, so I shouldn't have upgraded it to the new one without the extras. Contacted Cuisinart directly via their website, but it would not go through because their inquiry forms do I find this to be unhelpful!.

It doesn't sit well with me
3/5

The Cuisinart HM-100 is the one I bought The Power Advantage 7-70 Due to its higher power (wattage) than others, the Speed Handmixer was faster. There are two reasons why I don't like it The following are the points that the OP mentioned. Even though the manufacturer says it has a slow start (to keep the ingredients in the bowl from flying), this is not true. It's important to note that even at the lowest speed, there's an initial burst that kicks flour and sugar up. There is a reversion to a very slow speed after a few seconds. It is already too late - the damage has already been done Out of the bowl and into the air. The following two points will be presented. My mixer was very heavy, so it was a bit of a challenge to make meringue Getting things done is a hard task. While I beat the whipping beater for more than seven minutes at high speed, I still did not achieve the high volume I needed. Cuisinart does provide two different beaters, which is the only positive I can add. (pictured) The two whisks are used for mixing and the single whisks for whipping cream and It's unfortunate that my husband already threw out the box, or else I would have to return this mixer.

Sorry to hear that! There's no way to change the lowest speed, which is "1"
3/5

Very sad! "1," the lowest speed, starts out fast, then slows down, but then starts to speed up again, but then slows down suddenly, then picks up speed again, speeds up quickly, then slows down, and all this is done without control. A rating higher than 1 would be impossible for me. I am always disappointed by the cheap, flimsy blades. There is only one that will stay popped in, the one on the other side will just fall out if you put it in the other hole. Money is too precious. Don't waste it. There has not been a good hand mixer for me Your best bet if you only have one mixer would be the Kitchen-Aid A bit heavy, but reliable, and slow speed works as intended. This is a Kitchen Aid mixer, which I have. Sometimes I don't feel like lifting her out because she's so heavy, but I do like her.

Too early to have been broken! In 2014 I bought this mixer, and it has now been 2017 since then
3/5

In CR's and other sites' rankings, it is the highest rated mixer. There has been an issue with the large beater being unable to stay in the mixer for about a year now. It would be best if I had a mixer that I could use both beaters in. Buying is not a good idea! For a product of that price to break so easily is ridiculous! During the time it lasted from 1985 to 2007, I had a $10 mixer from Walmart that finally burned out what was left of the motor A mixer is used about 6 times a year for me. The mixer I am going to use is not the one.

It has been 4 months since the last update
3/5

Though I was very pleased with this unit at first even though the supposed slow start is not that slow, after 4 months the on button broke. Although it works, I am concerned this has happened just after 4 months of light usage. I do not understand how this could have occurred since it sits alone in a cabinet and has not been dropped or bumped.

The string wasn't long enough for my purposes
5/5

Mixing butter or thick batters won't be a problem with this mixer, but it won't work for creaming butter. The problem is not confined to this one there are others too It was the first recipe I tried when I started baking. My husband's computer lasted about 6 months before it seized up and died with a thick buttercream frosting on it. Previously, I've had the same problem on every new one I've bought to replace the old one. The KitchenAid that I bought for almost $100 died the second time I used it! ! - an hour before I had to make dessert for my brother's party! My money was refunded by Amazon, as was the case with other companies which I bought from afterward, but I knew that I needed Recently, I bought a KitchenAid stand mixer and am in love with it. It is not cheap, but I see it as an investment that will last a lifetime.

I've Always Counted on You as My Tried and True Name
5/5

Until I accidentally spilled one cup of beaten eggs into the motor and shorted it out, my former Cuisinart mixer had been performing fine for over 10 years. As soon as I saw that the model was updated, I went to Amazon to reorder (it did seem to be the same model number, but the design was slightly different, but it still works well). With the new model, all of my former attachments (the whipper and beaters) will fit, so I can mix different batters with different attachments at the same time. Cuisinart is a brand I trust as the device has provided me good service.
