We found that, after a few fills, the water started to taste metallic and sweet. As soon as we identified this tube, the problem was solved. It is not uncommon for the taste of the water to be altered/ruined if the CO2 tank valve is left open and the gas sits in the tube unused (isn't used immediately to fill a bottle). after closing the top valve after each use and clearing out the remaining gas in the tube manually with a soda stream machine (to relieve the pressure), we are able to fill up the bottle with CO2 again and taste the water normally. I find it annoying to have to do this every time, but I do save money in the long run now with our 20lb tank even with this workaround. The rubber hose has burst, so we would have to buy a different hose (or possibly use a rubber one). Unfortunately, we haven't found any other tubes with decent ratings, so we'll be back in the same position (or worse). The reason for the few reviews could be that most have none? In any case, I thought I would let you know if you're considering a similar Thank goodness it wasn't the CO2 tank as it would have been a much bigger hassle to find another company to fill that one. Just connecting the other end to the soda stream is not enough. It would be easy to connect if it was explained step by step. My quest for the right way took a lot of trial and error, with a lot of frustration included, before I finally figured out how I should go about this. done, I was fine, though I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the instructions were not as thorough as they could have been. The level of understanding you assumed when you wrote the instructions may not apply to everybody. When writing instructions, imagine yourself communicating with someone who is totally unfamiliar with it, and has never seen anything like it or anything connected to It is fine if instructions are too detailed, if they are not detailed enough, the instructions will be useless. It may be worthwhile to find several people who do not know anything about it like me, and you can ask them to connect the dots for you, observe them and take notes on their efforts, then write them up again. In terms of the item itself, it is great and works well. You should check out that part of it. It is remarkably well done. Working on the instructions would be greatly appreciated! You should place customer service at the top of your priority list!.

On closer inspection of the product, we find that the pin depressing the quick disconnect valve requires significantly more force than it does on the sodastream, and the opening is not as large as on the sodastream. Due to the reduced volume of CO2 entering the water, this is the reason for the reduced CO2 levels. A corrective action for this issue will need to be determined by the vendor.

Seltzer is that particular liquid that we go through at the rate we do, and with everyone being home during a pandemic, this system has saved us enormous amounts of money on it. Make your self a favor and get the tank, hose, and adapter if you enjoy seltzer or homemade soda.

There has been some comment about how it produces an odd The PBW didn't seem to do any good, so I soaked it for a couple of hours. In other words, if you keep the line clear the flavor does not appear to be produced. Among my suggestions to reduce the amount of CO2 released, I would like to suggest 1. Clear the line first with a clear sample, close the CO2 valve in the gas line, and empty it using the soda stream if you haven't yet. The valve to the CO2 tank should be opened and then the gas line should be pumped. Close Lastly, 3. Try to use as much CO2 in the line as possible. Then, clear the rest of the line after a certain amount of bubbles have been produced. If there is no flavor to be detected, then it should be unnoticeable.

It isn't reliable to use the quick disconnect. As your eye is drawn to the adapter, it is hard to determine whether it is fully inserted. As soon as I connected everything and put the hose under pressure, the quick disconnect was unable to hold in the pressure, and this caused a dangerous erratic hose whipping the released gas from the tank.
