Questions & Answers
The dishwasher will not accept any of the older model plastic bottles. On the bottle, it expressly states that they should not be placed in the dishwasher.
No, not when I went bottle shopping.
It has nothing to do with taste; all plastic degrades over time, and you're using a plastic bottle to hold pressurized gas. If the content isn't up to par, KABLAM. It may sound dramatic, but it will harm you (the expiry date is due to explosions). Even metal bottles (like refillable propane canisters) would almost certainly have an expiration date. You can't always guarantee structural integrity!
It will not work in your soda stream carbonator unless it has the four external knobs. They won't show the top, so it doesn't carbonate; it's just a storage container!

I was under the impression that I was going to be given a METAL container. However, it was simply the METAL'S COLOR. I had to give it back to them. It is necessary to protect the environment by avoiding the use of BHPs.
Someone posted photos of their broken product, claiming that it was dishwasher safe. This bottle expressly states that it should not be washed in the dishwasher. So don't hold that against this product; it has a sturdy, sleek design and is simple to wash by hand. br>I have a different soda stream bottle that is dishwasher safe, but this one is clear that it should only be washed in cold or warm water.
I could tell our old bottle was no longer functioning, so I purchased this one. It has a significant impact! It produces bubbles as expected. I'm very pleased.
The second time it is put in the dishwasher, it falls apart and deforms, despite the fact that the description states that it is dishwasher safe. Deformation should not have occurred because I did not use a high-heat sanitizer.
This is the second item that comes up when you search for "soda stream glass bottle," so I assumed it was made of glass rather than BPA-free plastic. Plastic is available for free. I admit that I did not read the description as thoroughly as I should have, but it is a lovely bottle that I use three times a day. It does a fantastic job of holding my seltzer! )br>br>However, I really wish Sodastream would release a glass bottle!.
I bought two of these bottles to replace some old Sodastream bottles that were starting to leak. I bought what I thought was the same bottle last year and was pleased with it, so I figured this would be a good investment. br>br>This isn't the case! The carbonation in these new bottles does not last over night. I'm kicking myself for throwing out the bottles with a visible fine spray from the center of the cap, but which still allowed the water to stay fizzy for a few days. By morning, the carbonated water in these new bottles has gone flat. I'm extremely dissatisfied with a company that had previously delighted me.
I made the mistake of putting my AirSoda bottle in the top rack of my dishwasher, thinking it would be fine. Of course, I should have read the note warning me against doing so. Most replacement bottles on Amazon don't allow returns, so I was hesitant to order one in case it didn't fit; however, this one did, so even though it was more expensive, I felt confident that I wouldn't be out any money if it didn't. It fits perfectly and, with the exception of the SodaStream logo on the bottle, looks almost identical to the original. If you have AirSoda and are tired of waiting for them to release their own bottle, you can count on this bottle to fit your AirSoda.
It's clear that there's a problem with the manufacturing process. As you can see in the photo, the bottle leans to the right due to a loose connection between the base and the bottle. Both of these items have been returned to the sender. Leaning bottles are not worth the money.
