The package will burst open if you open it
3/5

Get away from him! Within a week of installation, the plastic coating around the hose began hot air bubbles and then burst. Thanks to following the directions properly and turning off the CO2 at the tank, I didn't have to add any more. As of right now, I'm returning this and replacing it with the steel braided competition that I was originally considering.

And yes, I followed all the instructions for installation and usage.

This is the best hack yet for SodaStream
5/5

The two 24 oz paintball CO2 bottles I used for a few years finally dated from when I got the SodaMod adapter for they were both making a horrible noise. After they expired and Dick's Sporting Goods refused to refill them, they became a problem for Dick's Sporting Goods. In the wake of the re-election It is about the same as buying new bottles, and now I had to spend $40 on a new pair, so it was time to look for alternatives. I bought a second-hand but re-certified pair of bottles and thought I would give that a try. CO2 bottle weighing 10lb certified by the EPA. In my opinion, the 10lb bottle is more convenient, since it can be refilled at any beer-related store Whenever it comes to welding or manufacturing supply stores that sell paintball bottles, it's a sporting goods thing. This is the only possible outcome It seems to be so, based on what The SodaStream was moved to the pantry so the bottle and hose were no longer an eyesore and the problem was solved! It will last the better part of a year with that supply. If you want to save money on CO2, you don't need to go to the beer supply store. A pound of soybeans costs $1. 50, whereas a pound costs In 70), but they swap tanks and take care of the refueling The cost of certification is free They have a gas vendor taking care of that. The Dicks are all living in the suburbs quite a distance from the beer supply and we can walk to it. It always seems like Dick's is out of juice They can't seem to keep CO2 in stock at all times. I will also investigate a gas vendor nearby that is also fairly close, so I will make sure to look into that for our first fill up, but I am very happy with our Please ensure you place the supplied washer on the CO2 end of your I want to be clear There is no regulator or anything else necessary to do this. This is all that is needed a tank and a.

I recently decided to use my Soda Stream Generation that was given to me as a gift even though it has been a year or two since i received it
5/5

This was a great way to improve the value of the device. The system worked well, and we liked how it let us choose the level of carbonation to meet our needs. Our only complaint is that the refills are too expensive. The cost savings are nearly nil over those gained from shopping at the grocery store, since $15. 00 for less than a pound of CO2 is outrageous. when we were looking for a solution, we found both direct tank connections and paint ball cylinder As described by another reviewer, paint ball cylinders need to be replaced on a more frequent basis, and after a few years, you must have the tanks hydro tested at a cost roughly equivalent to the original purchase price. We found an empty 20lb tank available for sale which was already part of the cylinder exchange program at my preferred welding gas supplier. Therefore, we ordered the attachment from that company and were able to get the welding gas at a cheaper price when we swapped empty for full cylinders. We exchanged the empty cylinder for the full one for $30, less than a fifteenth of what a Soda Stream refill would cost us. It has only taken us about a month to get used to the adapter here. A period of five months has passed. Real problems occur only when leaks occur. It has already been mentioned by others that you need to use the plastic washer that's included on the tank end of the adapter. In addition to using teflon tape around the threads on the CO2 tank, I recommend using it as a coating. Whenever you wrap the tape, make sure to wrap it clockwise at least two or three In order to check for leaks, you should paint on a solution of soap and water where bubbles would appear if there was a leak. After each use of the tank, turn the tank off to minimize the risk of losing the whole of the gas. However, if you have it attached and it does not leak you will be okay if you forget to take it off. In case you're wondering, the hose is fine. It is rated for 3000 psi (edit 6000 psi) and since CO2 tanks operate at room temperature, that pressure is not much more than 850 psi. 1200 psi is usually the maximum pressure rating of steel-wrapped hoses. The chance of getting hose that doesn't fit your needs is always present, but it also applies to all types However, both should be able to However, the downside to this adaptor is the same as it is for any that connect to a large tank It requires the soda maker to have a large, unsightly tank connected to it. In our case, we did not care about this. However, if you are looking to avoid a large tank and the savings it provides, then you should consider other options. The price is high, but if that's not a problem, this is a great solution. *EDIT A photo of the hose shows it to be working at 6000 psi rather than 3000 psi. A recent update Due to the two reports here of loose hoses, it appears that the product's manufacturers may be experiencing some issues with the supplier who sold them hoses that did not Due to the specifications printed on the hoses, no bubbles should form or the hoses should burst at CO2 pressure. Seeing that there are leaks along the hose rather than blowouts at the end, implies the problem lies primarily within the hose itself and not in If my hose bursts at 900psi in a hose rated for 6000psi, but others in a similar condition are just fine, then I know the hose quality varies greatly. The manufacturer would also have been able to miss the problem if he was reasonable.

It does precisely what it is advertised to do, ADVANCED UPDATE 3 After a couple of weeks As others have reported, my hose is about to burst due to a bubble in it

I am within my return period, and will be returning this for a refund and seeing if I can find a more durable product. While I believe the price to be a little high for this product, it does what it said As hard as it is to get the Sodastream connector snug into the sodastream machine, I can fizz my water in four pumps from the big tank after I've got that tightened. Please keep your tank upright if you do not have a dip tube. You'll need to flip the tank upside down if you have a dip tube.

It's a great adapter, but it's directions are poor
5/5

It's amazing how well this works. I am impressed with the quality of the tubing. Although you have to turn the entire tube to screw it into the sodastream, it is a bit of a pain Make sure your CO2 tank is attached before you start. It appears from the (clearly not written by a native English speaker) instruction card that you do not need an additional quick-start guide. The adapter must be disconnected so that the sodastream can be screwed in. If you are using BOTH washers on the tank side, make sure to use them both. The first time I used one, I noticed that CO2 was leaking immediately. We were able to resolve the issue both ways. If you drink a lot of seltzer, this solution makes perfect sense. I substituted a 5lb tank for a 9 dollar one at the local beverage store, thus saving about one-tenth of the price of the ridiculous sodastream canisters (not to mention being a much faster process because she knew how to do it).

For half the cost of others, it is worth the wait for shipping
4/5

While the product seems to work well despite the lengthy shipping time from China, it arrived in a very damaged state. It was great but the pin came out of the back not at the right level - that was my only problem. The Fizzi is at least a little different Using a dremel and sanding wheels, however, we were able to solve that problem. Despite the hose having a much higher pin than the top of a tank, if you compare it to the end of a tank, you will see that it has a much larger hole. Because of this, the button was jammed up much more than usual, and it was also a lot harder to press than usual, and even slightly leaked from the lever pushing down the pin However, I am really satisfied with the product other than that.
