They are not secure in place (get caught in the blades). * I prefer the original rings since they are thicker, stiffer and more secure in place. Product feels stiff, like an old tire both feel stiffer than my original Oster tire and my replacement one from a year ago. There's no longer a mention of them on the Oster website. Thus, I am cutting up a silicone baking pad for about the same price and will have many more to use in the future and still have some left over for any other crafting projects I might need in the future.
