Rubberwood does not react with peppercorns, so the piano finish is only applied to the outside of the piano.

2 oz. (4 tbsp.) or 1/4 cup
We recommend using only dry, hard, whole peppercorns with a diameter of 5 mm (3/16") or less for the best results. We've discovered that many tellicherry peppercorns will exceed this size, posing a problem because they're too big to fit into the grinding mechanism. We have a two-tiered system in place. The peppercorn is cracked before it is ground in a step grinder. This aids in the release of the peppercorn's full aroma.

Pepper grinder is very nice - It is strongly suggested. br>br>To respond to the 'extremely helpful' negative feedback: br>The adjustment is made with the chrome screw at the top of the grinder. If you completely tighten this screw, it will be difficult to turn, and you will only get a very fine grind or none at all. If you back out this screw, the grinder will be easy to turn and you'll be able to get as coarse or fine a grind as you like. br>br>(Amazon, what happened to the ability to leave individual reviews with comments?.
I discovered the piece of metal you see in the picture on my eggs after adding pepper to my food. It's also clear that this isn't the first time metal has come loose from the grinder's bottom. Kitcheria was tasked with inspecting the grinder. The piece should not have been plated in the first place, I discovered. They replaced it with one that had clearly never been plated. All of the communication was excellent, and it appears to be a one-time occurrence. The new grinder works perfectly.
Only the finest pepper is available. The grind is not made of plastic, which is why I purchased it. I figured it would be far more durable than plastic, which can break. Pepper, on the other hand, requires a lot of cranking. I was looking for a good restaurant-quality Peppermill at a reasonable price, and this one is adequate but not exceptional. When I cook, my hands aren't always completely dry when I'm handling food, and if you have ANY moisture on your hands, cranking this Peppermill and getting pepper out is nearly impossible. It really irritates me. I could make it work if my hands were completely dry. In any case, it's a bit of a letdown.
Buy now because the quality is outstanding. This thing grinds flawlessly, and I expect it to last for at least another 30 years. Beyond what the photos show, it's visually stunning and classy. This thing, strange as it may sound, brings me joy every day. I usually read reviews before purchasing something, but I rarely leave one. But I was compelled to do so here. Bravo. Who would have guessed that a pepper grinder could be so useful?.
About a year ago, I purchased this item. I purposefully delayed writing this review in order to give the product time to mature and see how it performs. This pepper mill is one of my favorites, and as you can see from the photo, it still looks brand new. br>This is kept in a cabinet next to my stove. I use pepper on a variety of foods, and this mill has seen plenty of action over the past year. I have not noticed any peeling or other damage to the product's finish, but there is a small amount of pepper left behind from where it sets, which I simply solved by placing it on a Pringles can lid (as in other reviews). Also, as stated, you can get finely ground or larger ground pepper by tightening or loosening the top screw, which I found to be very effective. br>The only issue I've had so far is a small amount of pepper left behind when setting it down, but this was not an issue for me. In fact, if I tapped it a few times before putting it down, there was almost no pepper residue. However, I believe the price could be a little lower as a result of this, but if you're looking for a nice, attractive pepper mill, I would recommend this one to anyone.
I have several high-quality grinders with similar designs, but my favorite, which produces a coarse grind, is about 18" tall and inconvenient. The size and apparent quality of this grinder drew me to it. My only gripe is that the coarsest grind I can get is significantly less than what I can get from my large grinder.
The Pepper Grinder is exactly what it says on the tin. It's simple to refill and grind with. It's the perfect size for me - not overly large or bulky I would buy Kitchiteria Aristo's other products in a heartbeat.
I'd had my eye on this grinder since seeing it on Lidia Bastrianich's cooking shows, so when my old one broke, I placed an order for this one. It works great, has a very smooth operation, and you can easily adjust the grind size by turning the metal knob on top. Because the grinding mechanism is made of metal, it should last a long time. The color is exactly what I was looking for to complement my kitchen's dark red accents. This purchase has made me extremely happy. br>I'll keep you updated if anything changes, but after two weeks of daily use, it appears to be very durable.
