Plastic auger with a long life span. Make use of a fine screen that is standard.
Grape juice, puree, jams, and jellies are all great uses for this bottle.
The Sauce Master comes with a standard auger, but this one is shorter. Its shorter length allows thicker-skinned fruits (such as grapes) to pass through more easily.
For the Norpro 1951 Sauce Master, this is an accessory.

Questions & Answers

What is the blades' outside diameter?

The narrow end measures 2" wide and narrows to 2". The widest point is 5".

The seeds and pulp became stuck in the spiral, causing it to bind and make turning the handle impossible. Is there a way to keep this from happening in the first place?

We were just making salsa yesterday and ran into the same problem, so it's perfect timing. All you have to do now is sit back and wait for the pulp to finish itself. Continue to turn the handle to allow it to complete its task.

Is this compatible with the Victory VPK250? Is it identical to thevpk250- a spiral of 4 grapes ?

Because I have a norpro, I am unable to assist him.

With seeded grapes, I'd like to make jam or jelly. Is there a need for a berry screen if I use this spiral with the original screen?

In order to make garden huckleberry jelly, we used both our berry and standard screens. The berry screen yields no seeds, while the standard yields only a few, and the huckleberry seeds are quite small. Because more dirt gets trapped in the holes, cleaning the standard screen is more difficult.

It's a must when it comes to grape processing
5/5

I attempted to do 50 pounds of grapes with the Norpro regular spiral, but I quickly realized it would not work. Norpro has a special spiral for grapes for a reason. Ha. This spiral is narrower and shorter than the standard spiral. The grape skins do not dry as quickly, but they do continue to move through the machine thanks to this grape spiral. I was getting about 4-minutes out of the regular spiral. It would clog up after about 5 cranks. I'd have to come to a halt and clean out the hopper before cleaning out the spiral. With the special grape spiral, I didn't have to do that, so it was well worth the extra money. Although Concord grape season has passed us by, I gave it a try with a few red grapes and plan to use it to make grape sauce and juice with next year's Concords.

Great! I don't usually write reviews of more than a few words, but I believe this grape auger is getting a "bad rap
5/5

" I had to consider whether I wanted to spend $10 on this for several days. I read through all of the reviews and it didn't appear to be promising. Even so, I figured it had to be better than nothing after processing a batch of grapes from a friend's vines. So I received it on Tuesday and put it to the test on Wednesday. I used seedless grapes that I grew myself. This is fantastic! br>br> br>br>Now that I've said that, allow me to elaborate. Nothing got'stuck' the first time the grapes went through because it squeezed the juice out. I ran them through again because there appears to be a lot of waste. This time, the juice/pulp mixture was a little thicker. So I decided to go over it once more. The auger starts to clog up at this point. Even so, popping it out and unclogging it is not difficult. br>br>In addition, and this is crucial: Use The Plunger At Your Own Risk! Allow the grapes to ripen naturally.

plugged
4/5

Grapes were done. As mentioned by other reviewers, you may need to run the grapes through the machine a couple of times to get the best results. It's fine if you do it twice, but three times and the spiral becomes stuck. br>br>The best way to soften the grapes was to heat them first and then mash them with a potato masher. Then make your way through the spiral of grapes. That was a fantastic solution. The grapes were squished to perfection. Only a small pile of seeds and skins remained after the drain was never plugged. It sucked out every last drop of juice.

In my Victorio, it works
5/5

Finally! An easy way to make juice or jelly out of my Concord grapes - YUM! br>It works flawlessly in my Victorio. I do run the "pulp" through twice to make sure I get every last drop of deliciousness. Two thumbs up for this article.

University of Kentucky promoted spiral as the most effective way to de-stress
3/5

Fruit of the pawpaw that has been seeded University of Kentucky hailed the Grape Spiral as the most effective way to de-stress. Fruit of the pawpaw that has been seeded It had been a complete flop. We tried it anyway, despite the fact that the seeds were clearly too large for the grape spiral. The spiral of grapes quickly clogged. Also, it appears to be made of very low-cost materials, such as 100% plastic. It was also a bit of a blunder. shapen. This does not make me happy.

The Johnny Apple Sauce Maker is incompatible with this product
3/5

Although it resembles the Johnny apple sauce maker in appearance, the shaft connection is a different size and shape.

Product is good, and delivery is quick
4/5

Please keep in mind that I did not purchase this item for the purpose for which it was intended. This part was supposed to be used to make a dog food dispenser, but due to its slight cone shape, it didn't work out. The smaller side measures about a foot by a foot and a half. The smaller side is approximately 5" in diameter and the larger side is approximately 5" in diameter. The diameter is 5 inches. I needed something that was consistent from beginning to end. br>br>However, the plastic is excellent, a thick, strong plastic. I only chose the standard shipping option, so it was also very quick.

Do not squander your time or money! This isn't going to work
3/5

I ran fresh Muscadine grapes through it for the first time, and I had to unclog it. To get through my two bowls of grapes, I had to repeatedly take it out and unclog it. I experimented with both regular and pumpkin screens. Very let down. In a lot of ways, it's a disaster. I'm not sure why it matters, but the spiral doesn't go all the way to the edge of the screen.
