The way the handle was molded to the blade made this knife look professional, so I ordered it. It worked well for a while and did a good job, but the blade chipped while I was using it. I'm no expert clam shucker, but in the ten years I've been doing so, I've never had a blade chip like this. Another "high-quality" Chinese product.
Clams are notoriously difficult to open, but this shucker made quick work of them. If you want to shuck oysters, however, you'll need a different tool.
So far, everything appears to be in good working order; however, when summer arrives, I will be able to judge for myself how good it is. As a result, for the time being, I'll give it 4 stars.
It's a nice knife to hold because it's easy to hold and has a good grip. Excellent value for money.
For work, I'm in desperate need. I am very pleased with the speed of delivery, the quality, and the price.
