Snow crabs aren't able to eat it because it's too large The softness of the king crab prevents them from biting through. If the claws or whatever isn't BRITTLE, it's not usable. If they're soft, simply crush them with these. br>Even when they're brittle, it pushes them through too far and crushes shell fragments into the meat. br>I wish they worked like they do in the photos and videos on the ad! br>They're well-made, smooth, well-built, and durable.
Will not crack the legs of a hot snow crab or a Dungeness crab. They simply mash together. It also doesn't work on the claws of cold rock crabs. Is it just me, or does this happen to everyone else? Although it is well built and has a classy appearance, it does not perform as well as the pictures suggest.
THE QUALITY IS VERY CHEAP. EVEN THOUGH I RECEIVED THE ORDER IN APRIL, I ONLY USED THIS PRODUCT FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY (26 JUN 2019). THE VERY FIRST TIME I USED IT, IT BROKEN. WHILE CRACKING A CRAB CLAW. THIS WAS THE FIRST CRAB I EVER DRESSED WITH IT. THEN, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BREAK A SECOND CRAB CLAW, ONE OF THE HANDLES BROKE WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE. WHAT'S MORE SURPRISING IS THAT THIS CHEAP QUALITY TOOL FAILED WHILE CLAWING A SOFT BLUE CRAB. BUYING THIS PRODUCT IS NOT RECOMMENDED. DONT BUY. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY FRAUDULENT PRODUCT.
Very well made, but why are there no large to jumbo stone crab claws in the design?.
Even 1 lobster is too small. 5 lbs - King crabs can't fit in this container because it's too small. Although not too small for snow crab, it did not even come close to working as shown in the video. It was a complete waste of money!.
This tool appears to be well-made and is constructed of heavy-duty steel. Unfortunately, it was too small to crack a king crab claw and wouldn't fit around; additionally, the king crab claw was extremely thick, and this product couldn't even dent it. I tried it on a King Crab leg, but it was too soft to crack with this. Kitchen shears were used to cut it in half lengthwise. br>br>Seems like a good company, and I really wanted this to work because I haven't been able to crack a Stone Crab claw with anything other than a small wooden mallet. I quickly received a refund after returning the item. This is the third product I've ordered and returned that was supposed to crack a stone crab claw cleanly and efficiently; the hunt continues.
Tool is well-made and durable. It is simple to use. br>There are no shells, and the meat is completely intact. br>Easy for older hands to use, and it cleans up beautifully. br>I strongly suggest this product. A portion of the proceeds is used to help create oyster beds, so it's a win-win situation!.
Excellent USEFUL tools at an EXTREMELY LOW COST. This isn't the first time I've bought a tool from Toadfish - Anyone who has used "tools" in the kitchen, whether it was to fix something mechanical or to make a process more efficient and effective, will appreciate what these people have to offer. High- purpose-driven quality – in other words, they provide the right tool for the right job!.
