Questions & Answers

Would you say that this is very good. Is that alright?

Considering the price, it is a good deal. It's a better option to spend a little more and get a better quality knife if you have an expensive knife. The choice is like choosing between discount clothing detergent or Tide. Both work, but one is much better, and you decide what's most important to you.

Does this need to be honed or sharpened?

The process of sharpening the edge of a knife actually involves removing material from it. The edge of a knife is sharpened by grinding it against a sharpening stone or instrument. In essence, honing is the process of maintaining an edge that has already been sharpened. In other words, sharpening is the process of making your blades sharper, while honing is the process of keeping them sharp.

This thing deserves to be stroked for a long time
5/5

The rod has replaced my 10 inch stainless steel rod, which I had used for many years. With its 12 inches, it will allow me to cross this with a fuller stroke and I do not have to do it the safe way with the tip against my chopping block instead, I can pretend to be a professional chef and do so with a knife in the other hand. Furthermore, I've noticed a noticeable difference in the carbon steel compared to my old stainless steel, which is more pliable. It's possible I could have just made due with the old one, but for $8, I couldn't resist. Sorry about the bad dad joke in the title too.

I wanted it just the way I wanted it
4/5

Having a wood lathe makes me an expert sharpener, but I haven't had one in my kitchen before, even though my interest in wood working and my interest in woodworking makes me an experienced sharpener. Since the old stuff was blunt, I sharpened it There are cross cut saws, chainsaw chains, knives, scissors, and bowl gouges at the school. I don't know why, but I've been missing something in my kitchen not having one of these products. This particular product is sturdy, well made, and works well. There is a rougher edge than I expected when I finished, but that is something I can live with and means you can get a good edge without too much hassle due to the more rapid cutting speed. For any 'foodie,' this is a must-have item in the kitchen.

I don't consider this to be professional at all
3/5

It's important to point out that the title is somewhat There is no doubt that this is not a professional I have photographed the rod with two months of use in less than two months. You can see that the rod has a good deal of rust on it. It has been almost every day that I clean it and oil it since I got it, but I have been using it fairly regularly. The classic example of "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" is here. In my honest opinion, here is what I think of this The rust prevents this from being used at home, but other than that, it is not that bad. The cost of this product was actually very reasonable when it was new. The application would be suitable for someone who used it every month or two. Additionally, this is a COURSES rod, so do not use an excessive amount of force to hone or you may damage I bought it and had to sharpen with a wet stone to bring it back to life after doing so.

If you decide to get this, be sure to clean it well after every use and to oil it after.

It sharpens well, and it is a great steel
5/5

I have used several of the "steel" sharpeners in the past and I must say this is one of the best. It has great results The length of your article especially appeals to me. I found the cable to be the longest I've ever used, and that made it seem safer. I am happy with how it is going.

I am amazed! I don't know where I've been all my life
5/5

Wow. This is the best thing ever. While I have a sharpening stone that I don't use regularly, I have access to a tool that can sharpen with a blade run through it. On TV I saw an interview with an employee of a knife company who recommended using a honing rod at home, and even demonstrated how to do it. Simple for even this old lady to order, receive, and sharpen my 3 knives, the ones I use most often! A knife that is sharp is a joy to use.

It works the same way I used it when I worked at a restaurant
5/5

They work like the ones I used when I worked at restaurants for years. There is no binding on the blade unlike some other companies that claim to have a better design. I will purchase them again for backups and gifts for my friends in the culinary field.

The world seems to be changed by The knife blade will be sharp again after it has been re-straightened! My knives do not stay sharp for long, but after awhile they become "dull"
5/5

This is not because they're not sharp, but because they get a bit warped over time. I use this tool to straighten them out with a few cuts on each side. Like magic my knives are slicing tomatoes like new! There are 12 sections in the 12-year plan To enable back and forth slicing between the knives, an inch is a good length. I feel like it would last a lifetime because it's very sturdy and strong.
