This was a wedding present that I ordered. When it arrived, I noticed that the cut had been removed. It didn't suit me at all. The owner demanded that I return it for a fee of $20 - which, in my opinion, he should have covered because it was his fault. I paid more for the cutting board because I wanted it to be a nicer color, and there were no instructions that said I needed to wipe the board with the oil that came with it to achieve that color. I'm thinking I'll pay you more if you do that for me. I was dissatisfied from the beginning, and having to pay $20 to ship it back to the owner for a refund only added to my dissatisfaction with this company's entire purchasing experience.

Okay, I was really excited about this; when I checked it for cracks before giving it as a gift, it appeared to be of good quality. After my boyfriend conditioned it, however, there were small pieces of the provided towel stuck to the entire thing. I shouldn't have to pay $100 for a cutting board that isn't sanded or finished to the point of being uncomfortable to hold. The photo was taken after we had tried everything we could to get the shredded pieces off of it. It's extremely disappointing to feel such a coarse texture for this price. Worse, I recently discovered a store in the mall that offers the exact same service, but with finished wood and more options. The outcome has made me extremely unhappy. Never again would I buy this as a gift. After conditioning, it no longer resembles the advertised image. It doesn't look like that because the carving is too shallow (or maybe it's because the rough surface makes it difficult to see the engraving unless you get really close to it).

I've sent an email to the company, and I'm waiting to hear back on what can be done. It's a one-of-a-kind piece of lettering. I believe they'll accept return because it's broad enough. I'll keep you updated as things progress.

The only reason I did not give this item a 5 star rating was because there was a small knothole right on the edge of the juice groove on the board, which is bound to fall out at some point, and I guess if I were crafting this, I would have chosen a different piece of wood instead of going to the trouble of engraving this on the flat side and risking a future flaw in the underside of the board where the meat groove is located. Aside from that, it's a lovely gift. I'd recommend getting the mineral oil, either from the seller or elsewhere, because it will bring out the beauty of the wood and the engraving, as well as seal it. I gave this to someone in another state who thought it was lovely but hadn't oiled it yet, and it looks much better oiled than it does plain. I'm sure they'll have a great time, and I'm hoping the knot won't be a problem.

I was looking for a wedding gift for my friends when I came across the board and decided to buy it despite my reservations. I was so glad I did when it arrived. The personalized cutting board is a fine piece of craftsmanship that is both original and unique, and I couldn't be happier with it. The board came with a stand and a bottle of lotion, and it arrived sooner than expected. The only thing I didn't care for was the lack of polish on the board. To make it look like the pictures, I had to polish it myself with oil. I was very pleased with the results once I had done so. It's the ideal wedding gift for the couple to remember their special day. This is a product that I would strongly recommend.

This is an ideal wedding present. For my daughters wedding gift, I ordered the largest size in walnut. It had such an impact on her that she was moved to tears. They will remember this gift for the rest of their lives. br>Delivery was extremely quick, and I didn't have to pay any additional fees. I was concerned that I would not receive it in time, but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. Three days later, it arrived. The craftsmanship on the board is exquisite.
