This knife should not be used in the same way as Western kitchen knives
4/5

With its great versatility and incredibly sharp edges, this knife is ideal for a variety of tasks. You can eat any type of food you want, including meats and vegetables. To ensure that you get the most use out of your knife in the long run, there are a few things you need to know if you're new to such cutlery. Firstly, you must use a chopping motion when cutting It is not recommended to use a rolling cut like you would with a chef's knife, as it could dull out the cutting The second is You will be able to preserve the edge along with making full cuts with the knife because the board gives the blade more room to dig into it. Despite its shortcomings, however, it's a pretty excellent multi-game system The knife can be used as an all-purpose tool and, with some practice, can be used to replace a lot (and rather ridiculous amount) of.

A chef's knife (a santoku or a gyuto) works well for this task
5/5

The Shun Santoku I have is one of my favorites. Then I saw a Chinese chef using an item similar to these one night after reading about the "chopper" style. It would be great to be able to scoop something you'd chopped up into the bowl I would use to throw it in (frying pan, The santoku is pretty much retired. It felt like a splurge at the time, but it turned out to be a wise decision. The cutting style is completely different than a chef's knife (I have several, both Western and Oriental). Although it is hard to believe when you look at it, the digital device is far more precise and accurate. Furthermore, it can't be used to hammer away at something. This blade is more sensitive than you may expect and it's hold up beautifully. Shun is an excellent high volume brand and mine are holding up nicely.

This is the best antivirus software This is the only weapon I own made from vegetables
5/5

Taking a knife to vegetables is such a pleasure! It allows you to slice through nearly anything without putting weight behind the blade or having to drag the blade back and forth You'll love it if you buy it, use it, and own Do not leave it in the sink to prolong its lifespan. Wash it and dry it first and then put it in the drawer.

It has an extremely sharp blade, but it is extremely brittle
5/5

I am so glad I bought it. The Shun Nakiri is my first knife from them, and they have a great product. You can cut almost anything with it and I use it a lot on the line. Just be warned that the blade is very brittle and will easily chip. In spite of this, the knife comes insanely sharp out of the box and maintains its edge over time.

It was a great knife, and the packaging was cheap
5/5

It is very well made, it is razor sharp and it feels great in the hand. I only had an issue with the packaging, it was so Make sure to at least include a knife protector or keep it in a If I had to pay 3 dollars more for it, I would rather have a better box or blade storage. The blade of the knife had a tiny magnetic flip open box with a knife cut out and a plastic sheath for storing it, so I went with that brand of knife. I had to shop for a knife block just to store the knife because it came in a junky box with a card board sheath.

A beautiful and exceptionally sharp knife
5/5

This knife right out of the box is stunningly beautiful and extremely sharp. In general, I prepare most of my vegetables at home (I eat mostly whole cuts of meat, so I do not have to do much prep). I don't know if it would work for really hard winter squash, but I suppose it would. Fruits and vegetables understandably tremble in fear at the thought of this. My knives seem to maintain their sharp edges without chipping, but we will see. Also, I believe I have solid knife skills and know how to not chip a hard, cutting edge. It's comfortable to use and with infrequent honing and proper hand washing, I think I won't have to sharpen it more than The same product can probably be used on plastic cutting boards as well, as long as the wood cutting board is not plastic. Buying a knife if it's in your budget is a very wise move, and you won't I'm amazed at how sharp it is and how beautiful it looks.

The Shon Shun Nikiri strikes a perfect balance between the super-heavy side of things and the light-weight side of them A chef's knife capable of both the heavy duty kitchen work of a Chef's knife and the delicate work of a Pairing knife
5/5

Yes, this comes from its brilliant balance, but in my opinion, it is due most to the knife's unsurpassed You should take special care during the initial use of the application if you are a first-time user. This tool is so easy to use that it can easily pull off Having said that, once you become accustomed to it, the Shun Nikiri is a top-notch watch The kitchen blade has a notch.
