There is a double bevel on the edge. Despite its size, I believe this is a great knife to chop fruit and vegetables with.
Honestly, I don't know, since I didn't have it long enough to find out for sure. However, it is a great knife, similar to the one Rachael Ray uses, yet it is less than a third of the cost.

Came razor sharp and held an edge better than the knives I'd previously purchased for much more money. The steel only needs to be used a few times to straighten the edge back out and then bob's There is only one minor change I would make (and I did) which is to give the handle a little finish. There was a bit of a dry feeling to it, like it was lacking in finishing.
I used two coats of tung oil, and now it has a perfect polish. The Damascus is beautiful, but this blade is extremely hard. You would not want to.

This is not a Nakiri Knife. Also, the steel claimed is not the type of steel used on Nakiri knives. Fake Damascus that has been laser etched. The blade of this type of knife is supposed to be thin and light. The following is neither of the two. There is no cost to this item, despite its appearance. This is not a recommended item for me.
I would never normally think that knives of the normal, more expensive brands would be the best. This knife proves my opinion incorrect. The affordable price, the weight, the grip fit, and the blade sharpness were all just excellent. It is worth a shot, so give it a go. We are sure to please you!.
With its strength, it can cut through almost any vegetable with no problem. The size of this knife will not be an issue if you are used to holding a larger knife. For those who have large hands, this knife may not be suitable. There is not a great deal of distance between the handle and the board. This will not be an easy one for people who do not possess the skills to handle large knives. It requires you to pinch rather than grip the handle, which makes working with it a little difficult for people who are not experienced with it.

Despite not being an expert chef, I have had the opportunity to use some very expensive, professional grade equipment, so I think this stands up. A sheath would have been great too. That is the only complaint I have. However, it is SHARP in the most important way. SHARP it is and it has remained so. You might want to consider it if you are on the fence. Do what you need to do.
