It is the first time I have used a knife of this quality
5/5

They were a wedding gift for my wife and me, and we are quite accomplished home cooks at this point. We purchased this set as an upgrade from the knives we owned before. The handles of the bag are sturdy. Blades with a beefy texture. I like Razors. An edge that is sharp. With this kit, you can break down everything from a chuck roast to an acorn squash to onions to fine herbs in several different ways. Initially, I was concerned it did not have a wide variety of smaller knives, but the paring knife it comes with is almost as good as any other. A handy little blade that is sharp and well made. A majority of other sets contain a bread knife that is an inch shorter than the bread knife in this set. Bread can be sliced so you can eat it, but also roast meats like leg of lamb can be roasted. It is easy to use both the santoku and chef's knives due to their well-balanced and ergonomic design. It would seem my wife prefers santoku, and I am more into the traditional chef's style, but either is delicious. There is no doubt about it, the cleaver is the star of the show. As of now, I don't have a good grasp on this one, but by what I have seen thus far, it looks to be a very useful tool. I could have spent a lot more money on another set, but this set is perfect for what we do in our house. It is likely this will be the last set of knives I will ever need!.

Several issues just came up, so I opened them all
3/5

haven't even used the set yet, but I am already finding some design mistakes. It appears on the first picture that all of the stampings on the knives face the same direction, except for On the smallest knife of the set, the stamping is turned the wrong way, which makes it look wrong when incorporated into A scratch was visible on the block when it was received. I don't consider this a big deal because it will eventually develop more scratches. The real problem with buying a good knife set, I believe, is that the blade on one of the knives is chipped already. I noticed the uneven edge almost immediately as I was about to cut some veggies. People, let's get it done! It was one of the most highly rated sets.

I am disappointed
3/5

Knives arrived in very secure packaging, and the packaging is stunning. There are however no sharp knives in the supermarket. It may have been a returned set since I have purchased single knives from them in the past and they are still extremely sharp and in excellent condition. Instead of this new set, I will continue to use the ones that I purchased from Tuo previously. As soon as I contact the seller, I'll find out what steps they take to resolve this.

The quality is professional and the design is gorgeous The price is well worth it
5/5

It was finally time for me to upgrade my cheap set of knives. I was tired of wasting money on cheap set of knives that were decent. I am so glad I made that Restaurants are where I work, and I do a great deal of cooking at home as well. Having used professional quality knives for a long time, I am very familiar with them. You're seeing the real thing here. I like the variety of knives. This is a perfect assortment for the home cook who likes cooking. A paring knife of this size is beautifully balanced, and the chef's knife is wonderfully sized as well. Although I bought these to use, I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I bought them also because of their appearance. Besides the fact that it looks adorable on my kitchen counter, its long, narrow design also saves me space. It is a beautiful set of knives - the wooden handles in particular are quite They have also been designed to be very smooth and comfortable to use. I would say that these knives are a terrific It's true that you pay more for a block of mediocre, but usable, knives than the average ones. The type of knives that these are are the type of items that you could pass down to your children—just like a Cast Iron Pan or a Le Creuset pot. This is a highly recommended book.

The warning is for others
5/5

I like them. While I was initially a little worried about the reviews, I figured since I could return it if it turned out to be poor quality, I may as well give it I have been very pleased with mine. There is only one thing that I don't like about them I bought these knives because they were strong, but they didn't cut paper or plastic packaging - at least they didn't with mine.

They came razor sharp out of the box and hold an People often claim that knives don't hold their edge, but I am skeptical of all such claims In theory, they should be able to maintain their edge if the steel is good and not a Chinese knockoff. In most cases, operator error is to blame for dulling knives. 1) Never cut on a glass, stone, concrete, metal or ceramic (plates). You should always use wood or plastic for your board. And never use the phrase, "I just once cut on it". It was a good thing you weren't using it on plastic or wood because you probably There is an end to this story. Neither the knife nor the manufacturer was to blame for that it was 3) Never let a blade get wet before putting it away. It is more accurate to refer to stainless steel as rust-RESISTANT. When you put them away wet, you may find that the water finds a flaw in the metal, causing it to rust.
3) Never clean knives with abrasives. Use dish soap, hot water, and a sponge. After using them, it's best to hand wash them right away, not to leave them in the sink or put them in the dishwasher. You can stick to the 19 if this is too challenging. A 99-set of walmart knives, decent quality knives and up need to be handled carefully, it's how things are. 4) Did I mention there wasn't a dishwashing machine? As a result of this process, the handles can be damaged, the blade can stain/pit/rust, and the metal can be annealed. It is only safe to wash by hand. DRY should be discarded as soon as possible. You can also keep some thin oil close by. If you live somewhere humid, make sure to wipe it lightly after use. 5) Use your knife steel to maintain the edge as needed, not the weird ceramic sharpener on the back of the electric can opener, nor There are some machines that remove much metal for a quick steel, but in reality just take a small amount. Stropping them is nice as well, but it gets a bit much. Once your knives have become dull to the point that steeling may not be able to repair them, take them to a restaurant knife sharpening service and they will sharpen them. The cost is about $5 for each edge and they put the proper geometry edge based on the steel thickness and use. In order to avoid annealing the edges, knives need to be sharpened in the least heat producing way possible. The best option is to use either a whetstone and guide, or a water cooled bench grinder. *
6) Let's take a look. I didn't want to be using my knives to cut wood, drywall, sharpen a pencil, or hack open something. The tip broke when you tried to pry something with it, but that's not how they are designed, and it does not affect their quality. Don't drop them in the sink, and don't lose them. They are going to suffer because of it. In the event that you are able to refrain from doing these things, then you'll have no problem buying The above may seem like too much work or may not fit within your lifestyle. If this appeals to you, consider simply buying something cheap and replacing it I'd like to add one more thing for those who will complain about my no-glass cutting board. The set of serrated knives you purchase should be fully serrated. Although all knives won't hold up to glass, those with fully serrated blades are going to last the longest, even though they are the worst of the worst.
