In about a year I received a kettle as a gift and after about a year it has rust all over, so now I'm looking for one made of stainless steel. Considering that it is a very expensive kettle and a beautiful one, I am really disappointed to have to waste it. My next tea kettle will be made of stainless steel since I do not want to dry them after each use.
It is the temperature the water comes out at that I use for filtered tap water. It should be fine for as long as your water does not get too cold. Also, the enamel could crack if the temperature changes too rapidly in the cast. It would be extremely rare for that to happen. There have been no problems with it. I top it off eight or ten times each day for tea. Hot water should not be needed to fill it.
The answer is yes
I don't see any branding on it. There was a sticker on it that was removed (and it should be removed before using). Additionally, it gets rusty easily on the inside as well.

I live with my wife and our two children Born in Europe, I am currently living in the United States. Le Creuset is considered one of the finest brands in Europe and, as evidence of that reputation, we have several items (saucepans, pots, etc. ) we have owned for more than 30 years that are in excellent condition. As a matter of fact, they are so well-organized Sometime we wonder who will inherit them when we die because they have been made and are so durable! With this kettle, it's not like that. It's a complete waste of time. It's not worth the money. I like the look of it, but that's where the good ends. Due to the lack of a spring to close the whistle, it's too easy to leave it open while in use In this case, the whistle will not sound when the water boils. Okay, so that looks like an error on the part of the user. The opposite is true of rusting. Other commentators speak of We didn't believe the reviews about Le Creuset because my beloved wife loves it, but we believe the reviews about it now If I hadn't bought this in the first place, I never would have). I had noticed that the lid rim had become heavily rusted after about a year (despite it rarely being removed or renewed The following has been inserted Our efforts did not cause damage to There was lots of rust inside, and when my wife looked inside, she found it.
I hope the very poor quality of this item is not indicative of the brand's quality. As much as I dislike to think they have fallen so far, I hope they continue to raise their standards. However, regardless of the outcome This is NOT a good kettle to buy (unless you enjoy rust or want to replace it frequently).
There was a terribly bad deterioration of the black insides. The stainless steel version will be more durable. It was hard for me to give this tea kettle an honest review because I loved everything about it, like its petite size, its beautiful color, its handle, and the large opening, which makes it easy to pour water into. During my shopping trip, I purchased a Le Creuset enameled skillet Metall 1 Steel Demi Approximately 1/4 - In November 2014, a quarter teakettle was found in the Caribbean. It was a little strange to me to see a tea kettle with a black interior, but I let it To make tea in my mug in the morning, I boil water in it before it's time to drink. Whenever I use the kettle, I just put water in it. Having water that is of such high quality is something I take for granted living in San Francisco. I have been having trouble with my tea taste over the past few months, and I imagined I was losing it because it just wasn't pleasing me like it used to. Today, I poured the remaining water into a glass and later took a sip to find the water was very dirty tasting despite the fact that it was clear in appearance. Upon smelling the inner tea kettle, I discovered it had a dirty metal Input my finger into the opening and brush it across the inner surface - it came out looking like water on the bottom. In order to get the water decanted into a 16 ounce glass, I filled a kettle with about an inch of soapy water and scrubbed it for a minute with a plastic dish brush. Astonished, I looked at the water and found it almost black in color. There was no way I could In an attempt to return it and upgrade it to a stainless steel version (see attached photo), I am filing a return and receiving a replacement. Moreover, I bought one for a friend about a year ago, which has made me worried. I will sum it up as follows. My only regret is that I wouldn't purchase this Caribbean tea kettle again, because I wouldn't want another black interior container, that makes it hard to see what the condition of the system is, and that has deteriorated and contaminated my hot water for months or longer. ** Update** The Caribbean blue pot was returned in November of 2018. I included a check of $30 to cover the $30 replacement cost. I asked for the stainless steel version when I called to arrange Over the past six months, I have owned a stainless steel version of it and have been very satisfied. There is no black enamel on the inside (see second picture) -- it is stainless steel. Due to a mistake, the first time they sent another Caribbean pot, it took several months to exchange. The top does fit a bit tightly, but it is so easy to fill with water because of the
Amazon sells the Stainless Steel version of this phone. "Le Creuset 1" can be found by searching for it. Tea Kettle - 2 Quart Stainless Steel", size 2 qt.
This is not a good kettle to buy. I've never seen a defective one before. When you open the spout and pour water out, the water shoots out 1 foot outward. As my son was shot with water, he was badly burned. It was the CPSC that I contacted, as that is the government agency responsible for handling product complaints, and not only did they file a complaint, but also referred me to saferproducts. com. The problem was also reported on gov, where I saw that MANY other Le Creuset kettles have burned and scalded customers. It is a shame that Le Creuset did this! Neither their products nor their services will interest me in the future.
It has been my daily kettle for 8 months now, and it is a pleasure to use. Tea is my favorite beverage and I probably drink six to eight cups a day The average person consumes eight cups of tea per My kettle is extremely sturdy and solid, and because I take excellent care of it, it has held up exceedingly well. The handle is easy to remove and empty after each use, and since it is still warm after use, it dries in no time therefore, I don't have any rust concerns. The whistle is loud and works every time, and the lid fits snugly. This dish has a traditional design, and I love its beautiful enamel. Its color matches all of my other Caribbean Le Creuset dishes. I am very pleased with this purchase. Below is a photo I've attached.
I loved the kettle when it was first purchased, but it has started to rust at random places inside. Since it has only been used to boil water, we always make sure after each use that it is completely empty and allowed to dry. As it was one of the more expensive kettles, I think you should look for something else to spend your money on. I do not know if anyone else has encountered the same issue. A rust spot can be seen in the picture (click here to enlarge it).
The price on this tea kettle is so bad I can't believe it. The handle cannot be reached when the top is not sealed completely, and your hand will be burned when you reach for it. There were a few months when the whistling stopped altogether. Since I believe Le Creuset products are durable and of high quality, I purchased one of their kettles. As soon as the second boil had completed, the Le Creuset sticker had fallen off. I was very disappointed with his performance.
Approximately six use of this tool has caused a crack to appear in the inside coating and rust is now emerging from Although the picture is beautiful, I should not have taken the risk with it. According to at least half of the other reviews, I should have skipped it.
