Questions & Answers

Does it also have enamel on the inside?

For all enameled steel versions, there is a black speckled enamel on the interior the stainless version has a stainless interior, but the stainless exterior does not.

Could you please help me? I am afraid the cover of my book is missing after I only received it as a gift this month. ?

Boil the water and let the pot whistle after it boils. Pour the water into the pot after turning the flame off. Let the water sit for a few minutes. There is no safe way to pour any liquid from a kettle other than this!

Would it be possible to open the spout so that the whistle is not heard?

There is no need to blow the whistle if you leave the spout open. It usually boils dry if I leave it open, but I have learned the hard way that I must be in the room to avoid getting distracted by other things and letting it get I am very pleased with this

It sputters and splashes, doesn't it?

In the end, I chose a stainless steel rather than enamel. The water does not boil when you pour a cup of it but it does when you pour it into a bowl. Be sure to let the water in the kettle stand for a few seconds before putting it into a

The surface has been badly damaged
3/5

My kettle previously rusted after I used it daily for about 2 years before reaching out to Le Creuset regarding the issue. So far they have been trying to contact me. The enamel on the bowl was not put in the dishwasher or otherwise improperly used, so I was rather disappointed that it had simply worn away through A long-lasting product is important to me, so I was willing to pay the price to get a kettle that would last a long time. My grandmother had Le Creuset products that lasted her whole adult life, so I expected something of the same quality. My review of this kettle shows that for 2 years of use it does not have any features or aesthetics that would make it worth the price. While I did not put the former Le Creuset kettle in the dishwasher and voided the warranty, I did use the old one with an oxo-oxidized finish. It was my fault for not reaching out to the company, as I believed that the product was capable of enduring the treatment. It was much more difficult for me to handle this time and I was quite disappointed. I may have let things get so bad that I wonder how I ever allowed it to happen. While I wasn't sure how often I checked for rust, it was quite evident in these photographs when fully dry and held up in the sunlight at an angle. On the other hand, it's much harder to see the edges on the stove, which is lit directly overhead by the lamp. The rust color changes a bit when it is damp in the morning and in the evening It is for evening use only.

There is rust on the bottom (inside) despite never having been scraped
3/5

It has rusted on the bottom (inside) as it has never been scrubbed, washed in the dishwasher, or scraped. I don't think the kettle has been used in over 40 years I always rinse, never wash with harsh detergents. I washed my clothes 50 times and rinsed each time. Those who own the kettle for more than a year will find that the kettle is rendered unusable due to rust or enamel in the water. This has been relayed to the manufacturer, who I hope will resolve it.

You might be drinking contaminated water if your kettle is full
3/5

Our kettle has begun leaking dark flakes into the boiled water within four months of purchasing it. We wiped the interior with a paper towel and were shocked to find that it was coated with a disgusting, Then, in order to be sure that our tap water was not the source of the problem, we boiled three times with the LeCreuset kettle and a stainless steel pot acting as a "control. " I noticed that the LeCreuset kettle gave off the same dark residue again. Our only way to determine how long the dark interior of the Kettle and the fact that we mostly used the water for tea masked the leak is to ask how long it took for the LeCreuset leak to become apparent. Does it rust? Or does it rust As we realized that we were drinking it every time we boiled water in that kettle, we felt a) disgusted, and b) puzzled. How is LeCreuset doing these days? Is it a company without honor or decency? Has their business philosophy, like so many other corporations before them, succumbed to the bottom line? Where profits and profits alone are more important than brands and customer service? We used to take great pride in LeCreuset cookware, having invested hundreds of dollars in it to date. There is no longer a need for that. Upon researching the issue online, we discovered similar stories from other people who bought the kettle and had the same problems. The CEO and managers of LeCreuset should be ashamed for putting people's health at risk. . . but we doubt they will. Check your LeCreuset kettle after 2 weeks - we encourage all of you to do so The duration of the program is three It seems as if a class action lawsuit is in the works.

I find it to be underwhelming for the price
3/5

It's been a long time since I bought a tea kettle and I was on the hunt for the perfect, beautiful one. I bought Le Creuset knowing I couldn't go wrong, despite the mediocre reviews for this $100 teapot. (Firstly, I tried the Chantal Catherine bag, but it had a dent in it. You have a hard time removing the top of the tank. Do not even attempt it when it is I stayed for a week That handle is cool, but I'm not sure I like it. Once the kettle has boiled, a pair of oven mitts is needed to pick it up. Also, if you fill it with more than 56 ounces, the box will not close. When water is boiling, water will spew out of the spout. You can see what 64 oz. looks like in the attached video. A picture of boiling water. To Le Creset's credit, the kettle is advertised as being able to boil one gallon. There are seven quarts in the jar. The exact amount of water to boil is 55 ounces. This means that with a 7-quart) This item weighs 55 oz. As shown in the photo, the vent is located just below the spout opening. In the end it's fine, its pretty, it's Le Creuset, but does it hit the $100 mark? Probability is that probably won't be the case.

A little bit of Dribble, some Dribble, some When you pour, you get a few drops falling down the spout Trying to reheat the water, but it has not stopped boiling after a few seconds
3/5

Le Creuset sent us a letter, thanking us for our purchase (under their 5-year warranty This product has a one-year warranty), and it can take up to three years to repair It will take four weeks to receive a decision following an It'd be great if I got something back from this. Le Creuset's previous tea pot did not have any type of finishing insert in the spout, as did this one. There is no doubt as to why the ball is I expect that $100 bucks will not be wasted on.

The outside of the package has chips and peels, a huge disappointment
3/5

I've had this product for just over two months, and now the outside enamel is peeling off This is a product I was looking forward to for a lifetime, but it didn't even last 10 weeks. I was extremely disappointed in how low the quality was. Another concern seems to be the possibility that the enamel can chip so easily, which could be very dangerous if accidentally swallowed.

This appears to be That is the best kettle that I've found so far
5/5

There were two kinds of electronic kettles I bought and both of them were terrible. The reason I hesitated to buy an enamel kettle is my lack of patience. It is very fast to boil water with this kettle and makes a charming whistle on the way. As long as it stays on the stovetop, I am okay with it. In the beginning, I had no idea how irritating the code of an With the new space on the counter in my kitchen, I have more room for food. Though the box stated that the color was flint, mine is oyster color. really enjoy the gradation in this picture.
