What were you thinking when you thought it was going to last for $40? Outside of the box, there are still rusting metal flecks in the bottom of the box. The bottom of the cup was tarnished after only one I personally don't like the overall shape/design of this product, since the thermometer bracket is permanently attached inside the case, making it impossible to clean the inside. Upon receipt after one day, it is being returned. I would like someone to suggest a non-violent way to share The kettle was built in China and is actually built to.

A review I had written about Coffee Gator has been updated based on their fantastic customer service. I felt they were very responsive to my concerns, and they promised to warn me or make suggestions about high heat and the insulation jacket with future products. In spite of the fact that the product is great, I declined a full refund. As a young man I was attracted to the martial arts but I think I was better suited for sports User of Coffee Gator for a long time. Pour over coffee was introduced to me by this company, and I am a very big fan of their cold-brew Their original brew maker still works perfectly, as does their original kettle. Since then, I've been looking forward to upgrading to the True Brew Coffee Kettle 2019 model. A personal favorite of mine is the Integrated 360-degree camera On the lid is a swiveling thermometer showing the temperature in degrees. During the first use, however, my wife complained that the kettle had a very bad smell emanating from it. A few more uses later, we found our gas stove was melting the Insulating Silicone Jacket on the kettle (therefore the smell) when the gas was turned on high. In the area beneath the jacket, there is now a permanent ring on stainless steel. My love for Coffee Gator still exists and once we took off the jacket, the rest of the product has proven itself to be excellent. Thus, we are still utilizing the product.

In addition to replacing a broken handle on another kettle, I bought this because it was advertised as being able to withstand high temperatures. It gets hot, that's for sure. That's a lot of heat. While cleaning out the three boils, I timed the boils on three different burners (I have five total of three sizes) to see which one boiled the fastest. The silicon jacket was useless on all but the smallest burners due to the proximity of the flame burning the bottom edge. I threw it into the trash anyway since it now looked like garbage, and I wasn't holding out hope that it would survive. There was though a difference in boiling times among the 3 burner sizes 12 minutes, 13 minutes, and 15 minutes, respectively. This kettle lasts nearly five minutes longer than the one it replaces. It has a tall and narrow bottom, which I assume is because of its height. Even though I brew less water than I did with my older kettle, the time it takes for the water to boil is frustrating. On my stove, I use my older kettle, which is large, fat, and low, so it fits well on my largest burner. After testing the temperature with 3 thermometers, I have found that the thermometer that came with the kettle is off by over 10 degrees, which can have serious consequences for It's ok to adjust on that, ignore the numbers they put on the dial, and get as close as I can. The worst part about the handle is that it flies off. There's no such thing as that. As a matter of fact, from end to kettle connection, the temperatures ranged from 106 degrees Fahrenheit to 193 degrees Fahrenheit after a full boil with water at the max fill line and then being removed from the stove. They should have forgotten about their fancy thumb pad. The temperature was over 200 degrees F. In other words, if you don't use an oven pad, your calluses better be very thick. While functional, and the style is nice, there are critical areas of functionality where it fails miserably. This silicon jacket is a joke, and its handle is made from a conductor that runs from the door hinges Depending on your results, your results may differ.

It was a lovely kettle until the water started tasting weird after a few weeks of moderate use and rust started to appear on the inner walls. Despite my attempts to reach out to the company for a replacement, I still have not heard back after weeks.

There was a leak in the steam vent lid This is brilliant! I wouldn't mind kissing you right now. There's something even better about coffee that comes from perfect temperature and gooseneck pouring. When I was a child, I had a glass kettle, and I timed and poured to ensure that the creme would bloom and turn into a creamy reddish brown color. Since I use the new Gator Kettle now, all I have to do is set the temperature and swirl the contents. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Then and now There was only one purpose for this The failure was in, it was in. There seems to be some issue with the spout tip geometry causing it to run outside the perimeter.

Reviews are rarely my thing, but in this case, I felt compelled to leave one since the movie surprised me with how good it was. I love that this jacket comes with sleeves - which ties it all together nicely. I think it's hard to fault in terms of performance. The cool design keeps my hands protected at the same time. Additionally, you can use it as a pouring stick if you want I like the spout because the water comes out really steadily, so I can make my own hand drip coffees very easily with this very convenient device. With the pour over kettle I finally had, I was also able to keep a whole house full of people happy with it! My god, I wonder how I ever got along without a thermometer! The problem of too hot water ruining my coffee in the past still exists but I haven't had it happen since I got this machine. The induction stove on my stove works great as well (apparently it works on all stoves). I was concerned that it might not work on my stove, but it does (and it I like everything about this kettle - it's well built, well designed, well constructed There is nothing I would change about the build, the packaging, or the instructions. Even when it's just sitting in the kitchen, it is stunning! True Brew is the perfect coffee for coffee lovers - nothing beats the taste of a cup of freshly brewed coffee The truth is out there!.
