Questions & Answers

Stainless steel cookware is healthy, but does it hold up to repeated use? Is sticking an issue for a lot of people?

I can tell you from my research that the product of stainless steel is a healthy choice. What concerns me is aluminum cookware for the alzheimers connection and the coatings used on some cookware may cause other ailments. The only bad thing I've heard about stainless steel is that it is hard to clean. When it comes to sticking, it can be a problem. I would not recommend it! My homemade granola bars were made with a sugary mixture that was easy to clean. Sticking has never been an issue for me. occasionally soak my pans in hot water before washing them, but that is because I clean my pans only with a soft rag and not a sponge. The set I have is wonderful. It's been a year and a half since I purchased it and I have only positive things to say, especially for its space saving features. It's up to you!

When compared with calphalon or cuisinart stainless steel cookware, how does this set measure up. Can you tell me about the quality, years of usage, and anything else that's important to you?

As a result of its storage capacity, I purchased the set for use in our RV. As I lived in Alaska for six months, I found this product excellent and plan to buy another for our boat next winter when we start traveling. Over the course of my boating career, I have used Magma grills for over 20 years and was wary of the quality of their products, so that was the deciding factor for us to choose Magma As a Cuisinart owner myself, I like it too, but you have to have a lot of space to put it away. It is highly recommended that you use Magma products.

Can these be stacked together to get a good idea of their footprint?

All the ingredients will fit in the largest pan when the lid is Despite being quite small, they fit effortlessly inside each other, taking up only a small amount of space. Everything is held together by a strap. Usually, I keep the handle in a drawer, but it might fit in the pans as well. As far as I know, I have not tried that.

Is it possible to wash within stainless steel pots and pans with steel wool soap pads (Brillo or SOS)? Is it possible that the pads will scratch my hands?

For our RV, we have a 7 piece induction set and a 10 piece for the house. Beautiful sets. I love them both. When you use the stove on a bad stove, be careful not to let the flame touch I spray a small amount of oil on the pan before I cook, then I soak it in hot water with soap and a soft cloth. If I need the pan to shine up, I use Bar Keepers Friend (order on Amazon) and a gentle scrub with a soft cloth. Steel wool or sos pads can really damage cookware. They really need to be avoided at all costs.

Selected User Reviews For Magma 10 Piece Nesting Stainless Steel Cookware Set for Non-Induction

It should read There is "room" for fledgling handles in the nesting set! It is my first time receiving this set, and I haven't used it yet, only washed and seasoned it, but I felt the need to post Despite the set's relatively light weight, the pans are remarkably heavy and robust
4/5

I find the covers to be solid, but not too heavy. These nesting pans are designed to take up very little shelf space and nest together as advertised. There are two reasons why I did not give this set a 5 star rating from the start The handles seem to be well designed, and when attached to a pot or pan, they seem quite As noted previously, the pans are made of plastic, and I am a bit concerned about the material, and wonder why a more heat resistant material was not chosen, especially if used over a gas flame heat source like that usually found in In addition to this, this set is being sold as a nesting set for RV and boat use. Please correct
It had been a mystery to me why the handles do not fit in the stacks of pots. In the end, there was only one way to open it, and that was to restack the covers inside, and then to balance the handles on top of the large cover, and to put the last pan on top and close it up like a unit. I was concerned before I could do that that one or both might be lost or misplaced in a busy RV or boat kitchen or galley. There are photos of the stacked set, the set with the top pan removed to show the balanced handles, and with the covers and handles removed as well as the entire When you view the photo without handles or covers, you will notice that the multi cover must be stacked in that position in order to fit all the pieces. I will post an update after I have used it in my kitchen in the next few days. I have updated I think I should add the following after a bit of use. It is true that the bottoms of the pans discolor somewhat when heated. I doubt I will worry much about getting the milled/brushed surface clean, but it is harder to keep clean. It is a very good set of pans for what it is intended for. Having this said, I will mention that since I'm using gas heat, I've taken to taking off handles when not needed, and attaching them when placing/removing/stirring. It is more important to me not to worry about melting if I don't In addition, the large metal handles of Dutch ovens can become quite hot over gas, so be prepared with good pot holders when removing the Apart from that, I love the set and would love to add anything else if I can think of it. I have updated After having used this set at home and on my camping trip, I can now report that it is up to the job. We avoided the usual "hamburgers and hot dogs" while camping this year as a result of our new set. Though it's a heavy set, I find it far superior to my previous home set, and beats out my traditional aluminum camping set by a mile. A good meal was enjoyed by all of us. You did an excellent job. Our coping mechanism for the larger pot was the opposite of the one I am used to, but we did well nonetheless. In fact, we were able to make beef-flavored gelato with this set An eight-person meal consists of a beef bourguignon and a pot roast with potatoes, carrots, and onions. We used a large sauce pan to serve as a cover and a large base stock pot as the base. I was so pleased with how how it turned out! This tent has survived rigorous use under camping conditions for more than ten days and looks exactly as good as it did a few days ago. Even though it is a chore to clean some spills off the outer surface of this pan and not scratch it, I am certain that over time, as I cook more and more, I will be less concerned about the exterior appearance and just use In addition to the colander, I'm also looking forward to buying a nesting Stainless Steel Sauté pan, but I'm not sure I'd like it as much as the non-slip one It is also available in a stick version. A quick update just purchased the matching "nesting colander" for this set, and I was very pleased with its construction and the fact that it fits both the large (base) pot when not in use and for storing it when not in use! Although I haven't used it yet for spaghetti, I have used it for macaroni and for steaming vegetables, and they work perfectly. With this new solution, I can boil or steam and then drain over a colander without ever having to remove the pot from the burner. It has taken me a moment to think. Do you know what "deep fryiing" means? Are you a French fry or chicken person? I can only imagine A quick update On 7/17/2019
Having a handle break on one of my "kitchen set" pans, in an emergency mode, I brought the Magma set into the house from my As it has grown in popularity, it has become a staple in the Storage for compact stacking works equally well in the kitchen or a camper/RV as it does in the garage. I find the heavy duty toughness of this set to be very appealing. are able to clean up very well, and any hard issues are dealt with with baking soda or Bartender's Helper.

If using with a gas stove, be careful not to use plastic handles because they will melt
4/5

Our engineers can design handles for you! There are specific parts of the item description that state it is for RVs and boats, but I If you burn propane over the handles of the plastic, they will melt. What do you know? A propane stove is a common feature of RVs. It shouldn't have taken much for the handles to be It costs $30 per handle to replace one. This is something I will be complaining about If you're going to use this product with a gas stove, don't. It took some time, but I finally got new handles that won't burn after complaining. Despite the age of the handles, they are still being sold in sets as well as This led me to upgrade my review to 4 stars from 2 stars due to their ability to resolve the handle issue.

With a gas stove, the handles burn
3/5

It is a 4 star product, but the handles burn when using a gas stove. The gas would continue to burn when I turned the knob all the way down, and it filled the cabin with a toxic smell even with low heat. The handle must be removed while cooking, which is very inconvenient. Plastic handles should not be used since they are likely to burn when heated.

Don't forget to get them for your home! Several weeks ago, we bought an RV that we plan to live in for the foreseeable future
5/5

In my quest to find a set that could fit the space, I gave up even on the smallest pan sets and searched for camping sets instead. Camppot handles fold in when not being used, so they are more convenient for storing, but aren't really suited to When I saw THESE beauties, I was stunned! Do you bake? The handle should be removed. Turn fry pan upside down and place it on top of the The list goes on! What's the difference between stainless steel and anodized steel? That is perfect. Mess kits are not for these. It feels great when you pick them up, the weight and the apparent quality I have shown them off to a number of people who are surprised at the quality of the end product. There is no comparison between photos and videos! It took me a little while to decide to purchase them due to their price, but even my stingy husband says that they are It is an honor to hear such praise from The discount I received for my review was NEITHER given nor implied! It would have been nice if I had it.

Please take precaution! My hands are melting! Despite the small size of our kitchen, we really enjoy this set and I told my husband I could use it all at home
4/5

Since this nesting option would save us several inches of space in our small kitchen, I thought we should get it. With regard to the handles, we have the same problem as others. I watched them melt, and they had a low-temperature In order to make sure we do not face the same problems as others, I used a medium flame. The handle of the pot has melted to the pot, and we are unable to remove it. Consequently, nesting is no longer possible and the point of having them is defeated. It would be nice if we could get the handle off so we would only have to replace the handle, not the entire pot. A fix can be applied to this issue by Magma, and this set would be perfect!.

Cookware of the highest quality! The cookware I use on whitewater rafting trips is exclusively made from stainless steel
5/5

For the past four years I've been using it. My wife was a little jealous when I first bought it because it is in fact a much nicer model than our heavy-duty coach Oneida stainless cookware has a weight, which is very heavy. My Coleman gasoline cook stove and the Stovea backpacking stove, which I use as a third burner when necessary, are both equipped with heavy bases that evenly distribute heat. They are very easy to use, have a strong hold, and are removable. Keeping it clean A simple way to get up. There are times (but not often) when I wish I had a third My family steams fresh vegetables on the river quite often, so I just ordered the nesting colander. Most of the reviewers seem to like the bungee, but I thought it was a waste of time, so I built a wooden box to carry my items. The country where the product is made intrigues me. There is no indication of where the merchandise is made, but the logo states Magma USA. If the company had an opinion on that, it would be appreciated. No matter what, this cookware is well worth your consideration.
