According to Consumer Reports, the Simply Calphalon is a Best Buy, and the features of the Kitchen Aid prompted me to add it to this list as well.
Do not buy it. There is nothing good about this set! When I washed it for the first time, the color came off! The manufacturer did not even reply to my concerns when I contacted them! The service was terrible, and the product was equally bad.
This set replaced our much loved Simply Calphalon pots which have been helpful to us for years, and I was delighted when I saw it on the website. There were mismatched, used cookware items without lids in a box, and the vast majority of the items weren't There wasn't a check on returns before they were shipped to new customers. We're not sure if it was an Amazon Fulfillment error or a Calphalon error. Quite disappointed with this.

Almost all of their items are well packed for shipping. This is the second Calphalon product that I own, and I am pleased with it. Generally, they ship well packaged with most of the material being cardboard. The pots and pans have thicker bases so they take a little longer to heat up than some other pans On the plus side, there are no hotspots and they all heat up very quickly. Furthermore, I am pleased with how well the lids fit. This pair of curtains is reasonably heavy and provides a comfortable fit, keeping in steam very well. It is also nice that the handles do not get hot.
I want to make clear that the only reason I rated this set 4 stars is that it only goes up to 450 degrees. Since the handles are covered with silicone, I assume that's the cause. The material has the advantage of controlling heat and being nonslip, but the temperature at which they can be used in the oven is restricted. This set would be highly recommended by me to anyone interested in nonstick cooking. This company is unbeatable in terms of price and quality.
