I think this looks like a very nice There is no mention of the tapered lip in every review I have read. This has to do with the measurement. It is 9 9/16" wide at the edge, but it is 9 7/8" wide at the flat of the lip. 10" Granitestone cannot be used with this product
Today is the day I received my order. The retail box of the product says Made in the USA, the 1104" skillet features a lid. Made in China is the corresponding glass lid.
From Lodge, I got an official answer that the GL version is the newest. In addition to the knob on the top, the only difference between the GL12 and GC12 tempered glass lids is the shape. With the updated GL12, you get a silicone knob that can be used in the oven up There is an older model (GC12) with a plastic knob, but it's still good for temperatures up to 400 degrees.
It is necessary to use a lid of 12". Wood was introduced with the age of the Industrial Revolution When baking pans were produced for coal-burning stoves, they were made to correspond to the size of stove eyes - openings in the lids. There is no difference between the stove eye and the pan top diameter in 10.

It has been 11 days since I did that and the top grip of the lid has already begun to loosen. When I tentatively tightened the screw, it backed out. Therefore, the lid can no longer be used. The pans I use are great quality, but this lid I would not recommend. A UPDATED VERSION A screw fit in my toolbox, so I pulled it out. Likewise, the screw should be protected with rubber padding so it won't be loosen when used. This has been fixed now and that's a good thing. However, when buying a brand new item, it should not be up to the customer to fix it themselves.
Following about three months of light use (and only hand washing), the screw fell into the food and the handle popped off. Despite screwing it back in, we didn't have any problems for a couple of weeks, but now it has popped off again, and the screw will not fully While it does not appear to be stripped, there may be a problem with the screw size. I wouldn't recommend this item.
The cover is of excellent quality. Specifically made for my tramontina frying pan, which is 14 inches across! Touchable handle that is cool to the touch. I love it, thank you!.
As a whole, this is a fantastic product - it works perfectly with our large, oversized Lodge cast iron skillet. There is only one complaint I have, which is that the rubber knob/handle feels A lid with such a large diameter would benefit from a stiffer rubber. I have a concern about the durability of this product. My wife likes to test the overall durability of products we purchase from time to time, and I'm sure many of you do the same. Similarly, cell phones have been tested as well as cars and dishwashers. Seeing as she spiked it like a football after the game-winning catch, it seems as though she was enchanted by the allure of testing the Lodge Tempered glass lid. Now that you seem to understand that if you drop the lid (aggressively or not), it will most Despite this, I can't hold it against Lodge since I knew the lid wasn't made to be dropped, just as it wasn't made to be a lid. I am pleased with this.
In spite of my measurements and research, the clothing did not fit my body. As it turns out, I should have returned it. A 12 inch cast iron skillet is what I use most often. The outer diameter of this dude is matching the outer diameter of the skillet, so the lip rests on top of the lid. A better job should have been done in describing the job.
This piece of 15-year-old art should have been in my radar when I looked for it The only place I could find a comparable new lid on Amazon was on Amazon. There are many brands that could benefit from this, as well as Lodge. The inner rim of the lid is a fraction smaller than the outer rim, so this lid fits my 13-inch laptop This is 14-and- Fits perfectly into a pan of 8 inches. It's nice to have a glass lid on the pot because you can see how your food is cooking without lifting the lid. As a precaution, I would still use a pot holder even if I had no problem with the knob getting hot.
This is perfect to put in a large frying pan that I have lying around. A 13 5/8 inch measurement is taken from the inner rim of the wheel. However, it has two extra flared rims beyond that, so it could work for a pan measuring up to 14 inches as well.
I purchased this lid to use on my lighter weight cast iron skillet, however it is not a Lodge Brand. In other words, it cannot stand up to heavy use. The top of the appliance lacks an air vent. This was totally lost on me before ordering. I didn't want to send it back because it fit well and was of high quality. As much as I apologize for not noticing, I am to blame. If there is no vent, steam naturally builds up more moisture under the floor, which is not preferred. It is true that these vents are small, but You just need to be aware of it.
