That was a total waste of time! Okay, so I bought these covers because I use my microwave regularly, and I don't want food splattering all over it

A paper plate had been splattered with contents in multiple areas when I was told to put it on top of the cover. The easiest way was or is just to use a paper plate and place it over the object(s). Unfortunately, depending on what I am microwaving, the power of the microwave blows off the plate anyway, and I always end up with splattered microwave dishes. This did not serve the purpose for which it was created. I will request a return and see how it goes.

It is not recommended to use a dishwasher

It's great for the microwave, but when it goes to the dishwasher, it's a lost cause. During the dishwasher cycle, the extendable part of the splatter cover melts and does not return to its original flat shape. As a result, the covers are bulging slightly and do not The insects are small as well. It's not big enough to hold a dinner plate, only a small salad It would be better if the dishes could be washed in the dishwasher. People like us are lazy and scrubbing dishes is a first world problem.

I bought a similar one 10 years ago that is far more durable but seems flimsy in comparison. The current batch does not appear likely to last 10 years like the previous batch.
