This tong is made of steel for durability. It is coated with a non-slip coating that securely holds canning jars. You can effortlessly control it with the hook and loop handles.

The machine holds the jars securely when they are filled with hot foods, lifts them in and out of the can, and transports them to a cooling rack.

Can be used to lift all sizes of canning jars, including small mason jars and jelly jars as well as standard-size and larger jars excellent addition to existing canning kits.

In this instance it worked fine, but it was very risky since the jar had a great potential of slipping and smashing on the floor, thus resulting in the loss of all the food. Since I am extra careful and maybe lucky, this has never happened to me, but last year I decided to buy a tool just in case. In my opinion, it is a little pricey for what you get, but it is probably worth it if you do.

Easy to can with

The fruits we grow are used to make jellies. I found this lifter to be extremely reliable and It worked well and slipping was not an issue if you placed the tongs under the jar's rim carefully. Initially I was afraid of dropping a hot jar while using it, but it performed well indeed.

Is a great idea! I just started canning, so at first this felt awkward to use, and yet it was able to lift jars easily out of the canner

It is great for the Boston Brown Bread cans

Making steamed Boston Brown Bread in an old soup can is my favorite. The cans come right out of the boiling water with this method.

What have I been doing with these my whole life?

This is the first time I've seen this type of tongs in all these years of canning tomatoes! Both quart and pint jars can be lifted easily without slipping from a pressure cooker when they are hot. Excellent item. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
