My only wish is that the large tongs would curve to match the tops of the jars

As far as I can tell, the large tongs used to pick up the hot jar are okay, but I wish they had rounded tips. The ends of the tongs are straight instead of curved, where they correspond to the mouth of the jars, so unless they are applied with sufficient pressure, the jars are more likely to drop accidentally. Neither of these things is life or death, but they would be more stable if they were bent.
