The expiration date on the most recent batch I received was 12/2020.
The very first crop
The caffeine content isn't listed on the bag, but you can ask the company or look it up online; I'm guessing it's less than a cup of coffee.

There will be no green tea served. This item is made in China. The local Japanese grocer is usually where we get our green tea. We had no choice but to turn to Amazon since they had closed. This green tea was ceremonial grade, Amazon's choice, and received over 2800 reviews with an average rating of 4. 5 stars. 5 stars. br>br>Typically, we drink one scoop of green tea or make a latte with two scoops. This tea is horrible, and Amazon does not allow food returns. I used twice the usual amount of tea powder and still didn't get the same tea flavor. br>br>A careful examination of the package revealed that the tea was distributed by a Texas company and that the tea is USDA certified organic and originated in China.
Advertising that is deceptive. You'll have to read the fine print to figure out that this isn't ceremonial matcha. They notify you of this fact in an email after you place your order. I would not buy from them again. I didn't even get half of the way through the bag. There's too much of a bad aftertaste; however, it should be fine to mix with other foods.
"Every part of these traditional Asian tea leaves is ground," says the product description. Steams and veins can add bitterness, which they do in this matcha to a degree. br>br>I was skeptical at first, but this matcha is incredible! It has the green tea vegetal brightness I was looking for, organic, solid origins, and a price point that allows me to use a little more powder for stronger brews without feeling guilty. br>I'm definitely adding this item to my shopping list so I can easily reorder it! br>I would strongly advise!.
Of course, I needed matcha powder for matcha lattes. After doing a lot of research and reading reviews, I decided on this brand because it wasn't going to break the bank but sounded like it was still a good product. br>Be careful when opening the pouch; it's very easy to spill product if you don't shake it first. I gave it a good shake before opening it. The powder had a lovely bright green color to it. I made a froth with a teaspoon of hot water, ice, and almond milk - I'm blown away by your talent. I'd been drinking cheap matcha from a well-known retailer, so I was taken aback when I discovered how mild and lovely a higher-quality powder is! This matcha has a soft/mild grassy flavor with a slight sweetness to it. Very enjoyable. It's quite lovely (my photo doesn't do it justice). I recommend this matcha powder if you're looking for a good quality matcha powder that isn't too expensive for your tea or latte. The bag isn't huge, but there's enough powder in it to keep me happy for a while; it's a small price to pay for something you like. Give yourself a break!.
I was so dissatisfied that I didn't notice the return window. First and foremost, I enjoy the Matcha powder's effects. That's fantastic; Matcha Tea gives me the pleasant "alertness" I've grown accustomed to. Because ceremonial grade is typically very mild, I purchase it. I mix it with cold water and drink it straight up as a shot, so the milder the better. The bitterness of this powder is a letdown. Furthermore, the top seal isn't working properly, so I have to roll down the bag's top and clip it before putting it in the fridge. I will not purchase it in the future.
I'm going to buy it again because of the great price. I'm new to matcha, so after doing some research, I discovered that a good ceremonial grade often comes at a high price. This matcha's flavor is bright and warming, and it comes at a very reasonable price, especially given that it's organic. A nice bonus was the ebook with matcha recipes. In a nutshell, this is a fantastic deal that I would highly recommend. This has taken the place of my daily coffee because it provides me with energy that lasts for the majority of the day rather than fizzing out like coffee did. I'm aware that there are numerous health advantages, but the one that struck me the most was the increased energy without making me feel wired.
For the price, it's fine, but I think the one I got from Tealyra is a little better overall. (Tealyra is apparently "premium grade," which is a step down from ceremonial grade. ) If it's truly ceremonial, it should be superior to the Tealyra version (which is slightly darker, as seen in the photos). This one is superior because it is organically certified and claims to be lead and radiation-free, but the Tealyra one has a more vibrant green color. Both are 4 oz and cost about the same; they have a similar taste and blend well. If organic is important to you, this is the one to choose. It appears to be reasonable, and you get a lot of value for your money.
I've experimented with a variety of matcha brands in the hopes of achieving the smooth green feel and flavor that I associate with high-end coffee shops. This is the last one! It blends without the use of a whisk (or a sieve, as some other brands do), and it's organic.
