I used to order directly from a Japanese tea plantation, but Amazon has a lot of matcha options recently, and I discovered Domatcha to be excellent. I'd been getting it by subscription for a few years, but when that option was recently removed, I decided to look for another "back up" brand, and I'm happy to report that Akira matcha is probably even better than Domatcha in my opinion. Just a touch more intense flavor, grassy fragrance, natural'sweetness,' and the most vibrant, fresh green I've seen since moving to Japan.

This matcha smells clean and vegetal in the bag, but once mixed with hot water, the smell and taste of umami explodes! Without a doubt, this matcha has the most umami flavor I've ever tasted from a matcha. Just an all-around outstanding flavor, with a lot of umami, a lot of complexity, a lot of cleanness, and almost no bitterness. Akira also blends better than any other matcha I've tried so far. This matcha is truly legendary, and it is considered to be one of the best in the world. I have no reservations in awarding Akira five stars; he deserves it. Akira Ceremonial Grade Matcha is my absolute favorite!.

Take it with you wherever you go. I am neither an expert nor a critic of Matcha, but I have been drinking it for years and will continue to do so for the health benefits. As a result, I've experimented with various brands available at health food stores and on Amazon. I'm in the military, so I bring it on missions with me. I give Akira Matcha Konomi a high rating because I can use one bag for months and it retains the original flavor and matcha effect, regardless of how hot it is outside in the field, etc. I use 1/4 of a plastic spoon to scoop the powder into a water bottle or canteen and shake it up. Akira Organic Ceremonial in 30g is a great size for me. However, to me and another purchaser, the 100g and larger sizes do not appear to be the same! It has a darker, less vivid green color and a bitter flavor. I'm disappointed because I paid $50 for something that I can't return (my friend paid $150). Encha matcha was finer ground, more vibrant, and less bitter in a side-by-side comparison. (I am not connected to Encha in any way. ).

But I really like the smoothness of Akira's flavor, as well as the fact that it's organic and free of radiation. I just bought my second bag of Akira Matcha. I understand that some people are interested in the taste of Matcha tea, but I am more interested in the health benefits of Matcha tea. It is common knowledge that the finer the powder, the easier it is for the body to absorb all of its benefits. I've never seen anything of this caliber before; it's most likely among the world's top five matcha powders. The taste is exceptional, as one would expect from a connoisseur, and the quality is superior to the one I purchased in Germany from the best seller. I understand that it is more expensive than some non-Matcha powders, but with products like this, you get what you pay for, if not more. In this seller's case, you get more value for your money. Two thumbs up for this article.

I'm not a matcha connoisseur, but I've had some of the best, and this is comparable at a fraction of the price. I'm not usually one to write reviews, but this is too good not to share. When I have to leave early for work and miss my antioxidant treat, I notice a difference in my energy level. Tip: When you're ready to use it, remove all of the air from the bag and double-check that it's properly sealed. Place it in a different air-tight container. container with a tight seal (qt. baggie with a seal? ) and keep it refrigerated to keep it as fresh as possible. The bag was cut open when it arrived, but the shipping bag was not. Since the bag was open, I'm not sure I can trust using this matcha.
