" br>I placed an order for a 100gm tin and received it. br>The tea was tightly sealed in a foil bag inside a tightly sealed tin. br>The color is a lovely jade green, but the flavor is too bitter for a ceremonial tea. Although umami is present, it isn't particularly strong. br>This was made in the traditional way, with 2 gm of tea whisked in 175 F water. In a nutshell, it's good, but not as good as some other ceremonial-grade teas I've tried. This is a revised version of my original review: br>br> br>After tasting several bowls of this tea, I reduced the water temperature slightly without reducing the amount of tea used, and there was a noticeable improvement in flavor and a decrease in bitterness, as well as an increase in umami. br>This is a very fine powder that readily dissolves in water and does not clump. It runs through a strainer at a breakneck speed. br>In short, I've changed my mind about this tea and now enjoy it. The company has not persuaded me to improve my rating.
Green tea lattes are a new favorite of mine. It's been a month since I had my first at Starbucks. It was even better than coffee for me! However, I am not a fan of sugar in my beverages. My latte was a tad too sweet for me. I'm also a big fan of good Japanese senchas. As a result, I made the decision to begin making my own. br>br>After some research, I decided to buy this product for a variety of reasons: br>* It wasn't bitter, as far as I could tell. br>* I wanted to start with a high-quality product so I could get a sense of what some of the best matchas taste like; I won't be able to buy this expensive matcha on a regular basis, but once I've tried it, I'll be able to shop for other matchas that I like for that purpose. br>* I was craving a cup of Japanese tea. I haven't had a good Chinese tea in years; they all have a bitter tang to them. br>* I wanted tea from somewhere other than Fukushima. br>br>I used this tea to make my first matcha at home. It was a little clumpy (I didn't mix it well enough and didn't have a whisk), but the tea turned out fine and was very tasty and smooth. When I got to the end, I realized that I didn't want milk with this tea at all. This tea is all I want to drink with water right now. That's how good it really is. There was no resentment at all. It was merely a mild taste. It's so lovely. br>br>I'm really happy with this little tea tin, but the small amount of tea you get surprised me. When you pour the tea (which is packaged in plastic) into the tin, it should fill the tin to about 3/4 capacity. For the price, it's a very small amount, so this matcha will be saved for a special occasion. br>br>After this wonderful tea, I must say I feel quite nice.
These matcha powders are of the highest quality. They are on the pricey side when compared to other matcha products, but they are still worth it if you are a matcha fan. Because they're dense and mix well, you only need a small amount. The flavor is pleasant, but not as impressive as some of the higher-priced Ceremonial grades I've sampled in Japan. Overall, it's still fun to drink on a regular basis. As with all reviews, some people have left negative feedback on almost anything. When making ceremonial matcha, less is more, so lower the water temperature to around 160°F. 170f. At this temperature, you'll get a better sense of the matcha's highlight.
This matcha is incredible - I highly recommend it. There is no bitterness at all. I was taken aback because my previous matcha drinking experiences had been with astringent and bitter teas (there were few options available at the time). When I decided to give it another shot, I was astounded by the vast array of options now available on Amazon. I'm glad I went with this option. It's exactly what I was looking for in a "sipping" brew, and it doesn't disappoint. I had no idea matcha had such a distinct flavor. I discovered that the matcha I had previously consumed was of "culinary grade. " The term "ceremonious grade" was unfamiliar to me. Culinary grade matcha is to ceremonial grade matcha what canned vegetables are to fresh vegetables from your garden - it's the same thing. It's difficult to believe they're both the same plant! br>br>I'm about to place an order for a second tin to keep at the office. I'm pretty sure I'll need more than one cup of this per day. I can't say enough good things about this product, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
I ordered 100 grams of Pure Zen, and it's amazing! I received my order the day before yesterday and have been unable to put it down. I had a cup last night (made the traditional way with a bowl and whisk) and then brought some to work today (a few teaspoons of matcha powder in 20 cups of hot water). The flavor is smooth, with a light earthy flavor that isn't bitter in the least. It's a vibrant jade green color. I would highly recommend this product and will be purchasing it again in the near future!.
Since about 2017, I've been drinking matcha every day. I started with Spring Zen and worked my way up to Pure Zen. The flavor is incredible (once you get used to it; if you're new, give it a few shots). In my opinion, it is the ideal shade of green. It has a wonderful scent. Always fresh, easy to whisk, and with few to no clumps (none if strainer is used first). It gives me more energy than any other energy drink I've ever tried and doesn't leave me feeling jittery. This tea comes highly recommended by me to anyone looking for a true matcha experience.
The moon is one of my favorites! When I first opened this matcha, I was struck by how smooth it was. Matcha has a special place in my heart. The thereputic process of making matcha and drinking it is one of my favorite things to do. As I write this review, I'm still drinking my matcha, and there are no clumps in sight. This is significant because I'm awaiting the arrival of my new wooden whisk, so this smoothness was achieved using an electronic whisk. This matcha is fantastic, and I'll be ordering more!.
Excellent craftsmanship. I did a lot of research before deciding on this as my first matcha product, and I'm glad I did. It tastes delicious, and it gives me a boost of energy in the middle of the day.
